Ugly Betty's Not Dead - Coming Back For More!

When ABC bumped Ugly Betty's bump off its Thursday schedule last month, the show's future was called into question big time.

However, UB fans, some new news has emerged that may make you feel tons better!

ABC is apparently this close to renewing the show for a fourth season, say network insiders.

What do you think the show needs to tweak to secure its future?

Can the show survive? The whole premise is the "Fish out of water" but after working in the glamorous world of NYC for four years Nobody would still be acting like the little country bumpkin wearing shalws grammy knitted for her. They should wright a really really kick ass season and then a great finale and let the show leave with some dignity.

Yay! I love show as well- but the last few episodes have sucked. I liked it when it was more fun and carefree but still dramatic. I think less of the dad and his troubles and more of marc and amanda. daniels character is boring now too. and yes- please take her braces off already. do something with bettys nephew too- he is such a fun character

I don't like the way the show is being written lately. Betty's been treated really unfairly by her family, it's like they want her to sacrafice all her dreams to take care of them. Why can't they take care of themselves and let Betty pursue her ambitions?

the original betty (yo soy betty la fea) the premise was how smart she was and what a great heart she had, and that she fell in love with her boss and he fell in love with her to, no matter what she looked like, I know this is different lol , anyway, so they should put more mark & amanda definitely, more of justin being a gay teen, bring henry back big yes, hilda and ralph macchio was looking good, the father's story line is kinda boring, willamina is being to soft lately, loved her being mean..

Good. I'm loving this season. Don't care for the Daniel and Molly storyline; but, Amanda and Betty living together and Mark gaining some balls has been fab to watch. The writing is funnier, quicker and the characters more rounded and less 2D. I would like to see where they go with Betty's (allegedly) gay nephew, though. I suppose they're waiting until the character turns 16? Lol.

1. Bring back some of the wacky tela novella aspects. They were pretty funny.
2. move away from the formula of Betty losing who she is in every episode then realizing her gosh darn Queens roots and her family morals ground her. It's boring. Every episode is the same.

Betty needs a Boyfriend that isn't a complete tool. That Jesse character was way lame. And Christina needs to have that baby. Also if the show does get cancelled then "Amanda and Mark" need they're on spin off show. They are hilarious!

Of course Justin could always come out! That would raise ratings. He was one of the reasons the show was so different and special when it started. They have just stretched out his coming out way too long. And yes, get rid of the braces. And please bring Justin back the to office. Some of the best scenes of the entire series was with him and Marc interacting at Mode. Justin can be a huge inspiration to millions of gay teens and could help save some of the 30% of teens that commit suicide because they are gay.

In all of the spanish versions that preceded this one, the "ugly" person is slowly transformed. They should start fixing her up! How many years does someone need to wear braces? According to the show she's had them since HS- that's over 10 years!!

This is the best show on the air since Will & Grace and before that Three's Company. More singing & dancing numbers with Mark and little bro would be great. Also more d-listers like when Lohan was on and ya just loved to hate her. Definitely more marketing on this one. It willl be worth it.

Cool! It's a cute show. I read in one of the tabloids that they went to hiatus because America Ferrera was acting too diva-ish. I think they need to keep having celebrity appearances - bring on Pink for an episode! Maybe they can expand a little bit more and have more side stories dealing with Hilda's developing salon business.

Quite honestly,the show was pretty good until some writer(s) began to add sub-plots to the original story line. Right now, there are so many sub plots that "Betty" is lost in the comedy/drama! Go back to basics, "Ugly Betty" should be about her. The public was happy with minor sub stories,but we want to see her evolution….her development in a high fashion environment, her dating, trials and tribulations.She can't stagnate
