Jade Goody Released From Intensive Care

Cancer-stricken Jade Goody has been released from intensive care after a successful 5 hour emergency operation to remove a large growth from her bowels.

Jade spent a week in the intensive care unit, and though she's been cleared to the normal ward, she's still too ill to return home, spoiling any sort of Valentine's Day plans she had with just-released jailbird boyfriend Jack Tweed.

Despite the scrapped holiday plans, it is reported that Jade remains in "good spirits," saying earlier in the week, "The hard truth is I'd be dead if they hadn't cleared the blockage in my bowel. The tumour made me constipated and caused my body to start bloating. My biggest fear was that I would have to have a colostomy bag. I've dealt with losing my hair - but a poo bag, that really would have been the final indignity for a woman. But, like everything else, I'd have coped because I have to."

It's good the operation was successful!

We wish Jade comfort and peace during her recovery!

Men who have sex with men are 19 times more likely to be infected with HIV than the general population, yet are ignored in many countries, an AIDS group said in a study released on Monday.
The report from the American Foundation for AIDS Research or AMFAR suggests the group originally at most risk of the fatal and incurable virus — GAY MEN — remain at HIGHEST RISK

Bless her. It's really bad when you start getting blockages. I pray something can be done for her.

Re: LettyB – The comment she made to you about "hell" can only be made by a truly twisted individual! she's in need of an exorcist!

Re: LettyB – That's just plain rude. I hope she has meds to help her calm down. Hey, did you notice that I'm being passive aggressive just like her? I'm not posting to her but I'm still sending a message;)

Poor lady. I hope she gets better.

    22. 22

Damn… remind me never to go to the UK for cancer treatment. They should have found this tumor MONTHS ago after she was initially diagnosed. It is proper medicine to get a complete scan after being diagnosed with the big C. A large tumor should not come as a surprise months later. Assholes.

    23. 23

brutal…I'm glad she's being so open about it…as a young mother she can speak out and let women know the bs that comes along with such a wretched disease, kudos to her…

    24. 24

      Embrace the bald Jade…..

    25. 25

Millions of people have colostomy bags. My friend was in a car accident and has one. You get used to it. If you have to have one then so be it….

    26. 26

Who is this??? Well anyways, hope she gets better soon.

    27. 27

      poor jade. stay strong girl.

    28. 28

I'm sorry, Ms. Jade, but a colostomy bag may have freaking saved your life. My mother has worn one since she was 35 years old and she turns 58 on Tuesday and that has helped her live a normal life. I had to wear one for two months and did not complain a bit because it HELPED ME LIVE NORMALLY until a newer surgery approached. The fact that you say it's the "final indignity for a woman" makes me livid, because sometimes you don't have a choice in life!!! Would you rather be dead?? What if they didn't get all of the tumor or something went wrong?? Step back and think about life for a minute before you make stupid comments.

    29. 29

Yeah right like you will stick your head out of her ass… some peace??? dont you remembr how you used to make her live a living hell by reporting on every single negative thing about her??? You are an idiot!

Re: Jezzabelle Mrs Officer – Why don't you shut the fuck up and stay on topic, you paranoid hate-monger. You should spend more time warning your mom about the dangers of ATM.

    31. 31

This woman would have to be one of the ugliest I've seen in a long time….What's wrong with the British?? They churn out more trash then a Vietnamese slum!! She's foul and not even worth our precious time!!!!!!!!! NEXT NEXT NEXT!!!!

    32. 32

Yawn but you need to keep up idiot..she has been released from hospital as there is nothing they can do and she is dying. Not that anyone really cares after all she is nobody outside her her few friends…

    33. 33

Re: Phew!!! – just came on to say the same - she only has weeks left to live and is planning on marrying her boyfriend Jack. Sad - I didn't have much time for her as a 'celeb' but I wouldn't wish this on anyone :(

    34. 34

Re: amnettie – Just a quick comment to you after the comments you made about Jade Goody - today the UK papers have reported she has been given a matter of a few weeks to live - she is to be given no more chemo as its not working - as she has a fast growing aggressive cancer all they can do now is make her last days as comfortable as possible..

    35. 35

Re: StyleQueenRe: StyleQueen – You say what's wrong with the British - Do you mean because we're not a bunch of saddos rushing off to the nearest plastic surgeon to have face lifts, nose jobs, boob jobs, or to have our skin lightened and our teeth whitened, and fake hair extensions put in our hair - Do you think that could mean that we're not insecure with our looks and don't judge other people by theirs, or that we look for other qualities in people… After looking at your picture all I can say is to call yourself stylequeen you certain have a sense of humour if not good looks which means as a Brit I can see the funny side… small tip keep away from any naked flames with those obviously fake nylon hair extensions..Ciao..

    36. 36

If i were Jade I'd probably be more concerned about having a sense of normaility for my two children rather than moan about colostomy bags, i suppose she is raising awareness and stuff for other women which is good, but given she probably doesn't have long, sod the papers and spend some time with your boys Jade.

    37. 37

Re: amnettie – I dont think any of us would welcome a colostomy so young, but we would adjust if we had to face it. Maybe you should follow your own advice about stupid comments given that she has only weeks to live.

    38. 38

Re: StyleQueen – Oh to be so plastic and vapid!!!!!

    39. 39

Re: StyleQueen – Could you actually be more shallow? Might I remind you that this women is a mother of two, who happen to still be toddlers by the way and DYING of cancer? Now I don't particularly like the woman but you are just displaying sheer rudeness, have some respect, if not for Jade, for the two children who are about to lose their mother, not everyone is arsed about appearances, I do hope should you ever experience such hardship people treat you with a little more compassion than you show others.
