If self-admitted dick, pop star Lily Allen, ran things in the world, it would probably be filled with a bunch of drugged-up idiots.
Last month, the celebubrat 'took back' her comments that supposedly condoned drug use.
But, there's a new Lily Allen drug controversy brewing!
She was blasted on Saturday for a new set of comments that appear to be on the pro-use side of things.
Lils says, “Parents should say, ‘Drugs might seem fun, but they do funny things to your brain. Some people react to it good, some don’t. Try it and see what you think’.”
What an idiotic, irresponsible, ill-thought-out statement!
If the kid reacts to it 'good' that one time should the parent support the continued use of the damaging drug?????
Lily went on to say that if she wasn't famous, she'd be a pill-popping idiot, but not into heroin: “If I hadn’t been famous I’d have taken loads (ecstacy). Wouldn’t be too wise right now. I’ve never been good with cocaine or drugs like that. They make me passionately angry on everything. I steer clear of heroin or crack."

People need to lighten up about certain drugs I think that is Lily's point. Not saying ANY of them are right but what most people don't understand is that our government manufactured all of them and they were ALL legal at one point.
Ecstasy was used in couples therapy in order for them to be honest with each other and find themselves again.

UM XTC is fine if your smart about using it in moderation, it can be a fun time. I have rolled 3 times and it was fun and I am not addicted. HOWEVER she is dumb with her statements and I bet she is DUMB about drugs!

Dude, you are totally right. People are gonna take drugs to experiment, everyone does it. Its when people depend on them is when the problems start, and the same could be said for legal drugs like alcohol and cigarettes.
Lily Allen is an example of how taking drugs isnt bad if you do it in moderation. Amy Winehouse is an example of someone who lets it take over their lives. I think a lot of what Lily said was misquoted and I think shes a smart girl. I dont know why everyones so surprised, shes just saying what a vast majority of 20-something year olds say. Shes young and young people take drugs. its a phase they go through.

People don't realize that alcohol and tobacco are highly addictive drugs. People don't realize that we weren't a nation of drug addicts before prohibition. Just because the law says that alcohol is okay and E isn't, it doesn't mean that one is any safer than the other. I get a lot more fucked up from alcohol than E. I've only done E three times, but they were excellent experiences. And unlike alcohol and tobacco, it's not something you want to do all the time because frequent use causes it to lose its charm rather than get you hooked.

I'm pleased with the experiences I've had with different drugs but that phase is long gone and over. People give drugs a bad rap, not the drug! Most people can't see that though. My senior year I took an elective class "Drugs and Addictive Behavior" and it was AWESOME. Learned so much that completely shocked me! I forget his name, but there is an MLB pitcher that took acid not thinking he was pitching that night. Then, he got a call and was like WHAT ARE YOU DOING, YOU'RE IN THE ROTATION TONIGHT. He ended up throwing a perfect game completely whacked out of his skull. It's an interesting story if you wanna google it and there are so many others also. She's right though in a way, parents who are more open to discussing drugs with their kids are doing them a favor. If you take the taboo away from anything, it loses it's mystique. My parents were always letting my sister and I have wine/beer in moderation while growing up and I can say I have NEVER binge drank in my life and don't really see the point? I view alcohol as a social beverage rather than a party enhancer.

I think Lily has a point. I mean, going to extremes is always dangerous, and saying that drugs are the most horrible thing in the world won't always warn the kids, and on the contrary, may cause the opposite effect. drugs aren't a menace by themselves, as Mike pointed; what is dangerous is the attitude people takes towards them. It depends on the personality of each person. However, it was unfortunate and not so smart the way she spoke about it, since not everyone is suited to take drugs and people is going to misunderstand what she tried to say.

People really need to relax, Lily isn't very eloquent but I think what she keeps talking about is harm minimisation! The general 'Drugs are Bad!' view obviously hasn't started drug use. If parents accept that their children may want to try drugs then being open about it with their kids means their kids will call them, and talk to them about it. If something goes wrong and a kid needs help they know they can call their parents without fear of retribution. My parents have that view and I am in no way a 'drug addict'.
Lily is right, drugs aren't terrible for everyone, and people do react differently.

E is not something to take lightly. I think the girl needs some education. E is not like weed or alcohol. It can be very harmful even if you only do it once. I agree we should tell our kids the truth about drugs (ie weed not as bad as heroin), but this girl needs some education before she opens her mouth.
And to the person who says everyone does E, that is not true. Perhaps if you believe that you should do some research on the chemicals in E. People drop dead on the stuff and loose brain mass. I took psychopharmacology and drugs and beahviour about three years ago and the prof said I don't advocate any particular drug and most drugs really arent as harmful as people say , but Ecstasy is fucking dangerous. This is from a person who was honest about his past drug usage and actually examined what chemicals are in what drugs.
