30 Rock's Tracy Morgan Loses Almost Everything in Wednesday Morning Fire
This sucks!
On Wednesday morning, a fire broke out in the fancy Manhattan apartment of TV star Tracy Jordan Morgan.
Interesting note, Tracy's apartment was in one of Donald Trump's buildings on the West Side of the NYC.
According to reports, he lost almost everything he had in the the apt.
Unfortunately, a source said the fire spread to neighboring apartments.
The extent of the fire damage is unknown.
Also, from what we know, the blaze didn't hurt a soul.
Phew!
We bet the building's fancy sprinkler system prevented the fire from getting too out of hand.
No word yet on what caused the blaze. Hopefully it wasn't negligence on Morgan's part!

SHERRI SHEPHERD WAS SAYING SOMETHING ABOUT A FIRE IN HER BUILDING THIS MORNING ON THE VIEW. THE FIRE WAS ON THE FLOOR BENEATH HER AND HER FLOOR WAS FLOODED. I WONDER IF THIS IS THE SAME FIRE SHE SPOKE OF THAT WAS IN TRACY MORGAN'S APARTMENT? PEREZ..MAKE SOME CALLS AND GET THE SCOOP BECAUSE I WANNA KNOW..THANKS!

He lives below one of the ladies from the view…..I forget her name. She was discussing the fire this morning on the show. She told the audience that once she had her son safe she went for her hair to save it

Well it's good that everyone's safe. Wait, I heard Sherri Shepherd mention a fire in her building and how she told her nanny and her son to save her wigs. Who knew she lived in the same building with her 30 Rock co-star.

Re: harrybalsac – my neighbor, apartment directly under me he wrapped his apartment in plastic drop cloths to seal it off and turned on the gas stove on sat on the couch and just started to light matches…lucky it was a four story walk up with only 6 apartments and no one else was home at the time.

Excerpt from NYPOST: A faulty fish tank sparked a smoky fire that damaged the Upper West Side home of "30 Rock" funnyman Tracy Morgan yesterday, law enforcement sources said. The blaze began at 8:34 a.m. inside Morgan's 16th floor apartment at Trump Place at 160 Riverside Boulevard, sources said. The fire was contained to the star's unit, but the billowing smoke set off sprinklers that soaked several floors of the tower, building sources said. Fire officials said that 25 units and 78 firefighters responded to the blaze, which was declared under control at 9:01 a.m. Fire sources said that when they arrived at Morgan's apartment, a sprinkler inside had already extinguished the blaze.
Former "Saturday Night Live" star Morgan was home at the time of the fire, sources said, but he was not available for comment.
FDNY sources said it appeared that either a light attached to the tank shorted out or there was a problem with a water pump on the tank, sparking the fire.
The fire sources said that there was not much damage to Morgan's home, mostly smoke damage to the walls.
There was also water damage across the building, after sprinklers when off in every unit on the 16th floors and water dripped down, soaking several floors below.
