Mickey Rourke's beloved chihuahua, Loki, passed away on Monday.

Loki was 18-years old in human years.

The pooch would oftentimes accompany his doting master down the red carpet.

At the Venice Film Festival in September, Mickey referred to Loki as "the love of his life".

Our thoughts go out to Mickey, we know this must be devastating for him.

      wow! 18 years is a long time. Well he had a good run. It had to happen sometime. I do feel bad for Mickey though, I had to put my 16yo dog down a few years back, and it's a really hard adjustment. Condolences Mickey.

      My 14 year old chihuahua, Pepe, is wearing a black-arm band for Loki. Until you have had a dog befriend you, you do not understand the unconditional love they give.
      Mickey is a hell of a guy to shout-out to his dogs at the Golden Globes. I hope he does it at the Oscars.

      The dog wasn't 18 in human years. He lived to 18. So 18 x 7 means he was 126 in human years which is a good old age for a dog.

      RIP Loki.damn when your pet dies it feels like losing a child.at least this is how I felt when my dog and cats died.I was crying for days.thankfully now we have 12 Pointer dogs and I adore them.

      As a chihuahua owner, my heart goes out to Rouke. They're some of the sweetest dogs and after 18 years with his constant companion it must be really hard for him. At least Loki had a long and happy life.

      Correction: He was 18 in DOG years which in human years he would have been 126! I lost my first cat Patches when she was 15 and I was 9 months pregnant so tell me that wasn't heartbreaking!

      As an animal owner .. I don t like to call them " pets " I m sure I know how he feels and I m really sorry about Loki cause when my life was going like shxxx my babies where with me, no matter I had no money, no job, or even not food in the fridge .. and all my "human friends" IGNORED ME.

      I read in an interview that his dogs were his world and were there when his world fell apart. I felt that really made Mickey more human.

      There's nothing more unconditional than a pets love and loyalty.

      RIP little Loki.

      Re: PreyToYou – He´s telling this in every interview and I think it´s true. When you loose everything your so called "friends" will leave as quick as possible but your dogs will alway stay at your side. Somebody who loves animals can´t be bad. And because of that Mickey can´t be soooo bad as a lot of people always try to tell. I think he´s a lonely man and so Lokis dead hits him really hard.
