As we mentioned earlier this week, Lance Armstrong's racing bike had been stolen!
His customized bicycle was stolen Saturday night from a truck in Sacramento holding all 26 of his team's bikes as well. A report was then filed on Sunday to the Sacramento Police Department stating that Armstrong's - and three other bikes - had been stolen from the truck.
According to the police report, the thieves cut an exterior lock which secured the bikes inside the truck and were able to get away with those four.
But, some good news - Armstrong's bike has been found and turned in!
On Wednesday, a Sacramento resident drove to the police station and turned in a bicycle which he thought had been stolen from Lance. Detectives were able to confirm it was the missing bike.
The individual who turned it in has decided to remain anonymous, and no facts surrounding how the person got possession of the bike have been released since the investigation is still ongoing.
Wonder if the good samaritan will get the promised reward for turning it in? That is, of course, if he didn't steal it!
