Conan Says Farewell With The White Stripes

The final episode of Late Night with Conan O'Brien aired Friday night and, as expected, The White Stripes took the stage as the ultimate musical guest of the show's history!

Performing We Are Going To Be Friends, the duo started off a bit rough seeing as they haven't appeared publicly since 2007, but Jack and Meg pulled it together and ended on a strong yet somber note.

We're sad to see Late Night come to an end, but we want to be the first to say welcome to Los Angeles, Coney!!

Are most of you nutzzz????? That was amazing!!!!! I must admit it was rough around the edges and completely unexpected (I thought they'd do something new) but that's exactly what you get from the stripes. Absolutely surreal! Try giving it a second listen. So appropriate for Conan's last NY show

Booboo kitty I'm sorry but you must be tone deaf. Jack sounded pretty good but Meg was so off key it was painfull to listen to. She was so bad she actually made him sound worse when she was singing.

it was cute they tried to do it to Conan's lullaby he always sings, but that was unfortunate, as a huge White Stripes fan I had trouble sitting through that

That was weird and awesome at the same time. Jack looked so sad, like it was the last time they would be on stage together, very strange. I am looking forward to what's next. Hopefully shows.

I love them but that was absolutely horrible and pretty unacceptable from professional musicians. If they couldn't pull together a song, they shouldn't have agreed to appear.

It's a shame that their performance sucked so bad, especially since it was Conan's final show. I like the original version of this song much better. Maybe they should have practiced a bit, eh?

They shouldn't have agreed to appear if they couldn't pull together a song in time. That is unacceptable performance quality coming from professionals. I love the White Stripes (and I love to support them, being from the Detroit area), but I'm not going to mindlessly drool and 5-star every thing they do, especially if it's a horrible, horrible performance like this was. SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT. Absolutely awful, they should be embarrassed.

this is not very good at all. he can't sing and she is not very good at guitar. painful way to end, but i guess when you have had all the success they have, they can go on t.v. and suck balls and people will think it's great.

Jack has said in multiple interviews that they keep it real by just going out there and doing it! That way every preformance is unique and different.
Conan loves them and would not of had it any other way!
