Mel Gibson on Britney (Not Literally)
Speaking Live with Jimmy Kimmel on Sunday, Mel Gibson said that he called Britney during her crazy times (ah, those were the days) to offer support.
Gibson said, "She's a nice kid, ya know. She was just going through a rough patch. You see kids that you know in the industry… I just felt like this poor kid she's lining up to be stoned. I just thought, 'I wonder if anyone is reaching out to her,' so I just called her and she's doing great now."
Great, the crazy leading the crazy.
Mel took no credit for her recovery, congratulating BritBrit's father for a job well done.
He also added that he regrets failing to call the late Heath Ledger when he felt the actor was in trouble, saying, "I shoulda called him years before. I didn't really know the ins and outs of what was up with him, but I don't believe it was just an accident. Maybe I coulda called him… When you see sort of an impending tragedy or something that might go wrong, it just felt like I should do something about it."
Maybe Mel should give Wino a pep talk too!

Everyone has to stop being so mean to eachother. He is trying to help other people, I dont understand why ur criticizing him for it. Its sad. I know he might have acted foolish a couple of years back, but he was drunk (and maybe even more than that). How many people havent said something stupid when they werent sober?
