It doesn't matter whether she won the statute or not the cover came up before anyone knew if she had it. And they're right, it doesn't matter if she won, she is the best living actress out there in the English-speaking world, next to Meryl Streep, of course.

However, I am damn glad that the academy finally realized that they were boneheads the past five times and finally gave the statute to reward her for her committment and talent.

PERFECTION!!! I will buy this as soon as it hits newsstands. I simply am in love and in awe of this woman! Kate Winslet was the queen of the Oscars the other night, NOT the prtentious and phony Whorealina. She gave a lovely speech and did not ramble incoherently for 10 minutes and I loved her shout out to her dad Roger in the crowd - the English cowboy! LOL. Kate Winslet rules forever. BTW the necklace she is wearing was given to her by LEO!!!
