Obama's A Ratings Star
President Barack Obama gave his first speech to Congress on Tuesday night.
And, luckily for everyone, it was televised for our viewing pleasure. It even pre-empted Idol! No one seemed to miss A.I., though. Barack can still pull in the ratings!
His speech aired during primetime, taking over the 9 p.m. time slot. It drew in a 24.5 metered-market household rating across the four major broadcast networks airing it.
And of all the stations, NBC actually drew in the strongest numbers with a 7.8 rating for the time slot.
If this whole White House thing doesn't work out, he's always got a career in television!

Normally I would be wary of handing out money, but his plan makes sense….give money to the banks so the banks can make loans to builders and others so houses can be built so jobs would be created and the employees can go and get the loans to enable them to buy homes at affordable interest rates.
It's a pretty simple logic, hope it works….better than sitting back and doing nothing and watch everything go to shit!

Big surprise. Though I believe many people watched it, his speech was on EVERY station that comes with basic cable. These TV rating stats are always stupid actually.

Please refrain from dissing his race while taking cracks at him. The fact that he is black has NOTHING to do with his politics or how he is running our country. Perez, you are smart enough to know that those are miserable ratings for all 4 networks showing the speech. Check the LA ratings and I'll bet the Laker telecast trounced any other statioon. Did he highlight all the tax cheats and lobbyists that he has hired or tried to hire?
Perez, why are you not giving us the number of viewers he had? If his ratings were that good, give us the actual number of viewers that he reportedly had! I find it a little suspicious that when giving you ratings news, you ALWAYS have given the final number but in this particular incident you did not!

Lesson kids because I don't get a warm and fuzzy reading comments here: The economy cannot be fixed by this man, he can only destroy it if this continues. Our problems are actually simple, just not simple to fix. We no longer build anything here, and what we do build is too expensive and pretty much useless crap, see GM and Ford. If you take out a dollar and give it to someone and they do the same and give you a dollar back, presto, that is what we have become. We give each other our money, some keep more than others and others crap out. It’s called sales because all we do is buy shit and exchange money, except for one crucial point. A portion of that money we exchange goes back to where that product was made (cheaply), and it isn’t here. Over time, many decades, this has come to where we now are, ie having no money because we owe everyone heaping mounds of it and have steadily increased spending at the same time because fuck me if my neighbor is getting a new car and I’m not, or everyone should have a house and health care for free. So how do we recify this, WE SPEND MORE MONEY!!! And raise taxes on people who run companies and employ you guys, who then get tired of it and leave the country, because I would and so would you, leaving your ass in the unemployment line and an ever increasing amount of the burden on a few, who can only buckle.
