Paula Abdul Slams Idol!
What's a girl to do when she wants more attention?
Stir up some controversy, of course!
Paula Abdul isn't too happy with having four judges this year on American Idol.
She tells OK! magazine that "Kara and I have known each other for years and we get along great."
But….
And this is a big but: "But we tried four judges before and it doesn't work."
Radio DJ Angie Martinez was a fourth judge at the start of the shows second season but left Idol before episodes that year began airing.
According to Paula, having that extra person ruins the flow of the show. She says, "It takes up so much time for each of us to give our opinion that it slows down the pace of the show."
Somebody should leave the show then. Maybe it's Paula herself!
Abdul says, "It is the last season of my contract, and I have so many other things I want to do."
Oh, Paula, always the little coy one! Next time just say you want to leave!
Then again, she did try having her own reality show and that bombed.
So just what exactly does she plan to do after Idol????????

Oh Please, it's obvious that Kara was brought in as a replacement for Paula, Idol is giving her a graceful way to pretend it was her choice to leave. The fact is Kara is a singer/songwriter with experience in the business…gee, who does that sound like? Oh thats right Paula. Why else was she brought in?

My first thought was that the show would be better without Paula. At least Kara usually gives intelligent advice. Paula is so annoying. I have to mute the volume when it's her turn to critique. She's lucky she was never fired. I don't know many shows who would keep talent on who were clearly high/drunk on air.

Idol needs to dump Paula ASAP. It's so painfully obvious that she's high on something when she critiques the contestants. Her comments are off point and add nothing to the show. I happen to like Kara and I think she brings a lot to the show.

I think adding the extra judge was brilliant. She fits in well, adds good comments and saves the others from sounding so repetitious in their comments. Paula is wrong about this.

I think they should get rid of Kara. She is bitchy and often quite rude to the other judges and performers. I think the original 3 judges get their criticisms constructively - The show would not be the same wihout Paula…I hope she doesn't leave.
