Is Jerry Seinfeld breaking out of jail to return to television?
NBC is springing him from the big house to bring us Jerry's first ever reality series.
Tentatively entitled Marriage Ref, the show will feature a panel of celebrities, comedians, and athletes who will judge marital disputes and recommend conflict resolutions.
The show, however, is not intended to operate as therapy. It is strictly "comedic."
Seinfeld will be teaming up with Oprah's Ellen Rakieten and NBC co-chair Ben Silverman said that while bachelorhood inspired Seinfeld, Jerry's adventures in married life will serve as a muse to Ref.
Jerry will actually stay mostly behind the camera, operating as creator and executive producer, but will probably also cameo.
But while Seinfeld may be freed from his cell, we're putting Jerry on probation. If this show flunks, it's back to jail!

I don't get it. . i love this idea, as a married person with children, a comedy show about marriage! jerry is an icon and larry david just may be working the show, who would you know ? …so pipe down - give it a chance…i mean how many true talents do we have left anymore… ? what you want to see more of denise richards, paris hilton and brody jenner. the rush to judgement is really quite unfortunate. and don't even try to slam me with your oh so clever responses…never looking at PH again, was a fan until I saw the company i was keeping. Jerry needs to stay away…spend time with his plagarizing wife and defending Michael Richards' racist rants because it may impact his DVD residuals. Once we saw the real man behind the curtain, Jerry, we were not impressed at all.
