I agree. I watch the national news, read newspapers and check out CNN.com regularly. I don't understand why you feel the need to report this. Stick with the mindless bullshit you put on here. This is supposed to be an escapist site.

Next, Brian Williams will be talking about crotch shots and how much he loves Lady GaGa.

Serves them right. They screwed Detroit up in the late 80's and virtually destroyed Detroit single handedly. Goes to show what goes around comes around.

I'm really starting to believe that the continual gloom-and-doom reporting every single friggin' morning is having its own negative effects. Yep, we all know the economy sucks hard right now, do we really need to see yet another news blurb about how bad it is?? How can confidence be raised when all we hear 24/7 is ugliness & fear? I'm not advocating sticking our heads in the sand but c'mon already - do YOU feel better about shit when you're told every minute of every day how ugly it is? I know I don't.

unions had their place and purpose at one time, im sorry but the uaw screwed all of the car companies. this is just one part of the problem, the major problem is the ignorance of the car companies

Where did they lose it to, their new plant in Brazil or some other up and coming GM International plant with one third the labor overhead? What a shame; for North American workers.

  16. 16

been in the news all week. and of course, they need more money and congress will probably give it to them instead of letting them shut down or try and see if someone/something will buy a subdivision or two. the money they are asking for is just pushing them along for a few months more. and thousands and thousands and thousands of cars are sitting on the lots not being sold. WHAT IS THE SOLUTION?

  17. 17

STUPID GM LOST 9.6 BILLION IN Q4 2008….30.9 FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR.
IF YOU'RE GOING TO TRY TO BE "NEWSWORTHY" GET THE FUCKING FACTS RIGHT…

  21. 21

I drive a POS GM car. I would trade it in and get a Toyota but Im trying to save money. But I think GM needs to fail. Make a better fucking car and maybe people will want to buy them.

  22. 22

How the hell did they do that??
    Fucking assholes.

  23. 23

I'm going to say something very unpopular but maybe the government should think twice about bailing out GM. It's one tough call but infusing capital into a company that is no longer profitable will only further our recession. Maybe out of the ashes, a phoenix will rise. I don't wish the death of American car companies - quite the opposite.

  24. 24

that is crazy. what the hell are these big companies doing that they're losing all this money and chomping at the bits for government funding? it is crazy. these people are paying their ceo like a million or two a year, and yet??? talk about not knowing how to budget or use their money wisely.
