Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Drew Barrymore is supposedly in the running to direct the third film in the Twilight franchise, Eclipse.

We expect nothing but smelly cheesetasticness from Drew!

For goodness sake, her directorial debut is coming at us via the roller derby caper, Whip It.

What do you think, Twilight die-hards?

      I think she could do a great job on Eclipse. Drew may not have alot of directing credit, but she has alot of experience on films about relationship building and love stories (which is the focus of Eclipse), plus she's a sensitive person who I think would do everything in her power to make the film a true expression of the book.

      Besides, I would LOVE to see her and Robert Pattinson hook up. :-) Two incredibly beautiful people…and he comes across in his interviews like someone I would imagine her with.

      And i know its not true now but when Vanessa Hudgens rumorly auditioned for the part of Leah! That was just absurd! I mean C'mon High School Musical isn't bad….But her! In Eclipse! and out of all the HSM cast!
