Eddie Murphy to Play Richard Pryor in New Biopic

Eddie Murphy scored his dream role!
The degenerate daddy has been tapped to play his 'idol', the late funny great Richard Pryor in a new film.
It should actually be pretty good. Oscar-winning writer Bill Condon is reportedly attached to the project as well.
Eddie is apparently so jazzed about playing Pryor that he waived his his usual fees for the project, which has a relatively low budget of $25 million.
Don't eff it up, Eddie!

What a shame…
I can't think of any other actor that could do a better job than Eddie in that role! I hope it's a good movie!

Like most other celebrities, Murphy seems to feel that he's "entitled" somehow - to big $$, special consideration, our worship, etc etc - every single day these people, along with sports "stars," show us how NOT to live.

They look nothing alike but talent wise, I think Murphy could pull this off. Richard was the Grand Poobah of Comedy. Can't wait for this one.
Eddie would totally rock at the role. In Eddie Murphy's RAW in the Late 80's, he does a whole skit about being 13 years old and making Richard Pryor jokes about taking a shit on stage. I swear, he sounded just like him. Anyone who saw RAW would have to agree, the impersonation was fab.
He deserves that role! I love hearing him talk about Pryor in Raw. He will be great!!!
