Fighting Words! Axl Rose Called Former Bandmate Slash "A Cancer"

As far as Axl Rose is concerned, it's never going to happen.
There's no way he'd ever work with a 'cancerous' Slash ever again, said Axl in a new interview:
"I suppose (former bass player) Duff (McKagan) could play guitar on something somewhere but there's zero possibility of me having anything to do with Slash. In a nutshell, personally I consider him a cancer and better removed, avoided — and the less anyone heard of him or his supporters the better."
The singer went on to say that Slash's guitar playing he has lost its edge and that the top hatted one seems to be more passionate about being "a whore for the limelight."

Axl didnt break up the band. Everyone left, for one reason or another. Axl stayed out of the blame game for a long time, just concentrating on making music on his own terms.While former members knocked him every chance they got. Ask yourself where all this Axl hate comes from. What did he actually say or do? Nothing. Its all shit from other sources. And Perez, "Look who's talking"? Axl does a lot to stay out of the limelight. He doesnt need it.

Need I remind everyone that without Axl Rose, Slash would be nothing, same with Duff. Axl has one of the best vocals ever! Dude has an awesome voice. This Guitar Hero generation wasn't around when GnR was all the rage. Axl was the man, no slash about it! We noticed Slash not from his guitar but his hat, it was his trademark. Velvet Revolver was big because of Scott Weiland, Slash's guitar was weak in these albums, nothing to write home about.

I always wondered who would win in a vocal contest, Axl Rose or Geoff Tate from Queensryche. Think Tate might take this one though. Tate very well may be the best singer I've ever heard. Listen to Operation:Mindcrime CD. Really cool!

At least Slash and Duff are working, putting stuff out there (bad and good) and connecting with fans. Axl bring out one record in 14 years (an ok album, not fantastic, just ok - lets be honest atleast about that!!).

Slash is Guns And Roses. Axel can be replaced and was nothing but a hack, but Saul Hudson (Slash) gave the group its sound, and his guitar playing is now better than ever, well…not as good as when I met him when he was 17, but almost!!!

GNR is THE most overrated hard rock band ever!!! they were very succesful back in the days but that's it. They have some good albums, some great songs but that's it.
Now as for who's more talented, i think slash is the talented one. Axl's voice doesn't completely suck but i heard better voices. Anyway, they're both media whores and has-beens…

Axl's vocals and Slash's guitar playin revived hard rock there is no doubt about it…. there is no whos better than whom, Axl kicks a$$ singing an Slash delivers mean riffs… second, seperated, ok we got Velvet Revolver umm not bad music, but add Izzy or Gilby in there and its just GNR without Axl…. But i have to agree with other comments Slash's guitar playing isn't as phenominal as his past music. Its way too safe nothing to edgey about it, plain and simple just radio music at best…. Now to the new GNR album, honestly people did we really expect it to be Appetite or lies…. C'mon… In my opinion more heart went into this album, its more than melodies and rhythm…. it complex… its not your standard verse chorus crap…. the album that critics all wanted to bash the album from the get go… like i said though real GNFR fans knew it wouldn't be the same… whatever happened between Axl and Slash nobody really knows, and we probably never willl thats personal between them… and if anyone here has never called someone they knew a name then by all means throw the stone….
