"Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, a 501 (C ) 3 organization, is dedicated to providing disadvantaged urban youth with significant arts exposure, access and education as well as providing exhibition opportunities to early and mid-career artists and artists of color.
Rush Philanthropic believes that if you give young people the opportunity to practice and appreciate art—whether poetry, music, dance or the visual arts—you will see lives transformed. Nurtured in early childhood, and anchored in sustained, creative experiences throughout one’s life, it is through art that we see young people learn to value their own unique voices and visions; and it is through art that we see artists transform the minds and eyes of society.
In its first 11 years, Rush Philanthropic has served over 700,000 urban youth, directed millions in funding from donors including individuals, foundations and leading corporations to underserved youth, and established two exhibit and education facilities, Rush Arts Gallery and Resource Center and Corridor Gallery."

Rush Philanthropic rocks! Creative solutions come from kids who have art in their lives. Join me in giving anything $1, $5, $10, more. It will be put to good use!

Most importantly, you should support Rush at what ever level you are able to!

this org sounds like it's doing amazing work! giving kids the opportunity to broaden their horizons thru art is so important! it really gives them a better chance! support this beautiful cause - i did!

I think it's great that this rush organization gives inspiration to young people. dutchess i agree and will be making a donation too - or maybe even volunteering, i just went to their website. lets all work together to make the world a more beautiful and creative place.

Rush Philanthropic sounds awesome. Exposing kids to the arts is amazing work! Through art, youth learn to express themselves where they might not have had the chance to otherwise. I just went to their website and donated some money, every little bit helps. I encourage everyone else to do the same! We must support the young generation of artists…..

Brilliant! I often go to the gallery and its always got a great exhibition, and the classes that they run for the 'Rush Kids' always look really fun, and the Kids attending them always love them, and they have great teaching artists!
