The Dark Knight Sequel Rushing To Make 2011 Release Date
Filed under: Film Flickers > Christian Bale
Christian Bale's on-set temper tantrums haven't effected The Dark Knight star's career at all.
It's been confirmed that Bale will be reprising his role as Batman for the third time in the upcoming sequel!
The Dark Knight director Chris Nolan will also be returning to the billion-dollar-franchise, but the film is nowhere near being ready for it's 2011 release date!
Why?
There isn't a script and negotiations haven't been made between Warner Bros. and the cast and crew!!!
Insiders have revealed that the laid back and cheerful attitude the studio has projected towards the sequel will change "once checkbooks start opening… Because money talks and once the pens start writing the extra 0's, everything is fair game."
Better get on that, fellas!!
There's always some sort of trouble when it comes to $$$!!!

they WILL fuck this up badly
Oh God… This movie is going to be awful. Nobody can be a better joker than Heath Ledger. I hate it when they make sequels without the same actors/actresses.
So fucking cool!
Doesn't anyone think the reason this movie was so popular was because of Heath Ledger. I think these people are nuts if they thinks it's going to do as good as the first.
I hope this film doesn't kill the other 2 amazing films.
The 3rd sequel curse is mostly right.
Who the crap will play the Joker?
They shouldn't do this!
first of all…this hasnt been confimed really yet. perez is just stupid. Chistopher Nolan wouldnt return unless he has a good script to work with. casue thats how people usually fuck up with movies is when they rush into things.(spiderman 3…) and theres a pretty good chance joker wont be in the third one casue they dont want to over play him. plus its not really his fault he cant be in the next one…he died.. so yah. what im trying to say is that im pretty sure the next one will be just as good as the other one becasue i think that the studio is actually going to let nolan take his time with this casue if they rush it theyll just fuck up. casue not only did dark knight make a shitload of money but they won a bunch of awards and oscars and such. so yah/
NO actor can ever replace Heath Ledger (RIP) as the Joker, period. I'm sure they will have new villains in the new movie(s).
They should call it Dark Dud part deux.
CAN NOT EVEN IMAGINE THE DARK KNIGHT WITHOUT HEATH D:
nobody can be a better joker than he :'(
Re: Friday13th –
I agree. It will be hard to make a follow up to Heath Ledger's performance.
the poster is cute!
Sequel? Really?
Fail. x
GODDAMN. NO. The main reason TDK did so good is because of Heath. LET IT BE.
Greedy motherfuckers.
This truly insults me.
every one Bale, Nolan brothers, michael Caine and Morgan freeman will do the next Batman because they signed for 3 movies! there was the same story for "dark knight" so it's the most useless gossip of the day!
dear idiots who are mad that they are getting someone to replace Ledger: the joker just won't be in the next movie. Wow, that was a hard problem to solve. And it is truly worrying that people are surprised there is a sequel coming, they have already made like 10 batman movies, and the latest one was the most successful. Did you really expect them to stop because someone died or because maybe the next one won't be as good? You are truly amazingly stupid idiots. It does worry me quite a bit that there isn't a script yet though (if that 2011 release date is to be believed).
Re: Friday13th –
What makes you think they are even including the Joker? There has never been a mentioning, and if you hate sequels without the same actors/actresses, then you shouldn't have liked the Dark Knight…Rachel was played by Katie Holmes and then Maggie Gyllenhaal. Batman Begins was a good film, Dark Knight even better, and yes, it most likely won't even succeed in the way that the Dark Knight has but it doesn't mean it will be awful…Life goes on, and Batman will without Heath
New villians, new storyline. Nolans batman is good because he explores Bruce Waynes inner turmoil and personal life. You'll never see the joker again. It seemed they killed two-face but comic book movies resurrect people all the time. I expect the riddler or some incarnation we've never seen. I can't wait.
"its 2011 release", not "it's 2011 release".
one is the possessive form, one says "it is".
"affected" not "effected"
Bale is the worst Batman ever. I couldn't sit through Batman Begins, and the only thing that got me to see Dark Knight was my love of Heath Ledger…and I still had to be convinced to go. Time for a new Batman, please.
Christian was already a well known actor in his own right way before Heath ever got the Joker part. Yeah Heath did the joker part really great…but don't be disrespectful to Christian's efforts in the movie. Heath's death added to the movie status and attention it got. I really think its corny to give a dead actor the Oscar out of pity. But I do believe this was the first time it was valid…since he was a very good joker. All you people saying only good things about Heath…and bad things about Christian should step back a little. Why is it politically correct to say good things about people when they're dead.
It should be simple enough to make a sequel. Simply do no do what the previous franchise did! Keep Batman moody, don't add Robin (unless it's an extremely creative new way to re-invent that character it will just become campy), avoid any attempt to make the bad-guy\girl Health-like. Go with Catwoman, but no Penguin, Mr. Freeze-no way, Mad-Hatter, maybe if Johnny Depp plays him. Heck, Batman has tons of enemies to choose from! The first film proved you can pull two not so well known criminals from the canon and still make a successful movie.
Re: yankees21 – So true! Even each one of the "old" Batman movies had different villains and story lines. Bale's Batman is the best to date. Batman's character in the other movies never had so many personal issues revealed. I can't wait either!!!
Re: josef_k – Hey grammar boy, get your stick out of your ass. It's a blog not an essay but yes, you care correct *sigh*.
just cause a movie makes a shit load of money, doesn't mean they need to make a fucking sequel. fail.
for the sequel to make as much as the first, someone is gonna have to die again.
[re=3506899]Re: Mrs.Sapp.
Just a Friendly FYI: It's "affected", Not "effected"
noone else should play the joker put in catwoman or the riddler
and some scarecrow cause i love his eyes
ill see it but the curse never fails to achieve
numbee to was a good movie
make the 3rd one work!
Re: Lol Girl – You do realize this isn't the third Batman feature film, right? There were a string of very popular Batman movies in the late 80's and 90's; The Batman Begins and The Dark Knight being knock offs. In my opinion, Michael Keaton was the best Batman to date.
Christian Bale is a horrendous actor. End of chat. Who gives a hank about his temper - I'd be bitchy too if I was a talentless hack - his Devo meltdown was inevitable. Someone please fire him and bring back Michael Keaton (at least he was entertaining!) or hire Cate Blanchet to play Batman. Better yet, let's have a new super hero:
PEREZ HILTON as BLOGMAN!
Bring Michael Keaton back? HAHA! Is he still acting? Which role would he play?-maybe Alfred, Batman in his Golden Years or better yet, Professor Xavier on X-Men .
Mr. Keaton WAS a good Batman. End of story.
Omg! the partt twO Of dark night is gOing tO suck sooo bad i mean really who on earth wOuld go spend there money now that jokers gone there going to replace him and replace him with some one [[ who will never take his spot]]
Re: ladeepopoff55 – SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! OMG…that was the most annoying comment i read….for some weird reason…ay dios mio..
Re: monkeyman133 – Your an idiot. This movie will flop without Heath Ledger. I refuse to even watch this ish in bootleg. The last movie would have sucked without the joker. Keep your umb ass comments to yourself. Your life is irrelevant lol. Bitch!
The only way I can imagine this movie flying is to leave all mention of the Joker aside, besides a quick tidbit of someone talking about his stay at Arkham Aslyum(They could twist that into a little mentioning of Harleen Quinzel as well, to please the comic fans). Likewise, remodeling the Riddler would probably be a good way to go, using the classic green evening suit approach. In fact, the only way anyone will find me in the theater is if they finally give Eddy a well-deserved second shot. Perhaps a less… Uma-y Poison Ivy as well?
