Thanks Perez for bringing attention to this issue. The racing industry has created an entire population of injured, unwanted horses that are destined for slaughterhouses. Please encourage people not to support thoroughbred racing and to support these horses through organizations such as this one. I have a former injured racehorse that I bought for $1 and he has become a wonderful horse to ride.

Horses don't need to be owned! Do you realize what you just said? Animal exploitation is not a good charity. And if they're abused there are more humaine ways of helping them. Don't breed horses! They aren't tools for entertainment, these are individuals.
