Bisous, Siegfried & Roy!
As previously announced, Siegfried & Roy took the Saturday night for a brief performance and their final bow ever!
The former lovers shared the stage as a part of a benefit for the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The center is aimed to treat brain disorders, including disorders similar to the one which Roy Horn now suffers from as a result of injuries the illusionist sustained due to the 2003 on-stage tiger attack.
The tiger who was responsible for Roy's severe injuries appeared as part of the duo's final illusion this weekend.
The two slowly performed a signature illusion as [Siegfried], dressed in white robes and a mask, stood inide a cage, which was then cloaked in drapes. As [Roy] removed the curtain seconds later, [Siegfried] appeared across stage, a hulking tiger in his place.
How brave!!!
If that isn't considered taking life by the balls, we don't know what is!
Siegfried and Roy's final performance will be broadcast this Friday on 20/20 as a part of Siegfried & Roy: The Magic Returns.

Wild animals should not be used for entertainment. People act all shocked when they attack - Travis the chimp is prime example of this.
I've seen them in person. They had a great show. Glad to see them doing alright.
It's been speculated that this tiger didn't attack, but was trying to help/pick up Roy since he had a stroke at the moment the tiger "bit" him.
But I agree that wild animals should not be used to entertain, unless it's just observing them in a conservatory because they are endangered.

We remember: After the bad tiger attack in October 2003 Siegfried yielded not of the side of its partner, helped it fuersorglich with the months-long Reha.
Also the spectacular tiger attack is topic of the book. Details, which now already oozed: The heavily hurt Roy is to have been clinically dead on the optical four times.

Siegfried & Roy are awesome. Roy is the toughest son of a bitch around. He takes on a white tiger and survives. He is the real "super man." Say what you want about the act. Siegfried & Roy are tougher than nails. They did not put down the tiger that attacked Roy. Siegfried & Roy are kewl!!! Give them some luv:)

I wonder if the audience was pre-informed the cat who attacked would be featured. I would have stayed, but I probably would forfeit my front row seat as a precaution.
They put on one of the best shows in Vegas! I never got tired of seeing them and still can't figure out some of their amazing illusions! The one I particularly liked was when Roy would climb up on the back of an elephant, they'd lower a drape over them for 5 seconds, then let it drop and both were gone…then Roy would come from stage left riding it. I knew it was a trick…but how! I don't care about their personal lives…it's what they accomplished on stage that matters.
