The town hall, which holds 500 people, is hosting the soul singer's performance this week.
"The venue in Dover is not grand - it also hosts things such as birthday parties and conferences - but Joss still loves getting out there and showing what she can do," Stone's friend defended to reporters.

This is Joss NOT being a diva, but playing for the home folks no matter how small a venue it is. These are by far the most fun jobs for a performer. I guess it all comes down to a person's perception. I think it's great that she doesn't see herself as being too successful to play a smaller venue.

I would produce her. She needs better songs…and songs with a more modern sound. She did the old blues and R & B sound to prove that she can sing–well mission accomplished, but much of her voice, as presented, is just an imitation of others, her influences from 30, 40 and 50 years ago. This is the way all singers start-out, by copying others, now it is time for her to find her own…real and original voice. Yes…I would produce her, if allowed, and it would be her best album, ever.

Joss Stone is my favorite artist and I can't wait till she puts out a new album. I saw her in concert Mar. 2008 at The Joint at the Hard Rock and she was great. I also saw her in Sep. 2007 at Mandalay Bay and it was the best concert I have ever been to. She has raw natural talent and you don't… anyone can write a blog about celebrity gossip.
