What could this video POSSIBLY not tell us that could come even close to justifying such violence!?!!? It is ridiculous! Things like this are truly depressing, and make me wonder at mankind's future. And usually I am such an optimist!

I would not be surprised if all this officer gets is suspension. and he is on PAL. It is funny if this had happened at another type of job that person would be fired. They act as if there is not enough law abiding ethical citiziens willing to be officers or firefighters and they have to keep these obviously uncapable people who snap and do not do their job right. It is not like they get paid alot. whether he had no records for the past eight years he can find another job where he is not going to be able to abuse his power and not have the patience and control an officer should. I would never want an officer coming to my house for a domestic abuse call if he has the potential to punch and pull hair on a citizen. It is not the way you handle things. These officers work in precints where they treat eachother like family. I remember my friend speaking to an officer about how her father slapped, punched, spanked his 22 year old daughter because he did not like her low cut shirt that she was going to wear. The officer said well you have to understand your father and the fact your his little girl. You also should be lucky you don't live in the bad areas of atlanta instead of dunwoody like you do. Abuse has no excuse. Whether this girl was verbally assaultive or needed to be controlled this physical assault will effect her mentally an emotionally for the rest of her life. I tried to find the video on the komo news website so I could leave a comment but could not find it.

The best he could have done was to file charges against her because you can't touch anyone. If you read the blog that this video links to, you would know that the girl stole a car from her parents (she was the passenger) and that the cop lied about what happened in the cell. Also, he killed someone before this incident (an unarmed mentally disturbed person) but that was "justified." This guy is a piece of shit.

No amount of force was needed to restrain this girl, she was already placed into a holding cell, you can see that she walked right into it.
This officer is a public servant, many officers fail to remember that they are there to protect, even criminals, they are to be handled by the law - police officers ARE NOT THE LAW.
This man is a disgusting individual that has taken advantage of his position and he should be prosecuted for this assault against a young girl, regardless of what she did, she does not deserve that.
AND, to top things off, she was not examined by a physician, she was not even brought to a hospital afterwards.
Unfortunately, this man will probably not be punished sufficiently for his crime, but justice has a funny way of working sometimes, maybe he needs to be put in a room and be beaten by men twice his size.
This shit would not float in Canada, there would be a public inquiry and I guarantee you that the whole country would be watching.
