Snoop Dogg Converts Open Up About Converting To Islam
Snoop Dogg spent his Sunday attending the Nation of Islam's annual Saviours Day convention, donating $1000 to the organization.
His first Saviours Day convention, Snoop sat behind Minister Louis Farrakhan, and afterwards said, "When you get a speech from Minister Farrakhan it's about a mirror, it's about looking at yourself. It's about seeing yourself and what you can do to better the situation … We're doing a lot of wrongs among ourselves that need correcting."
When asked if Snoop was a member, the rapper replied, "I'm already in the Nation, that's why I'm here. I'm an advocate for peace. I've been in the peace movement ever since I've been making music. My whole thing is not about really trying to push my thing on you. It's just about the way I live, and I live how I'm supposed to live as far as doing what's right and representing what's right. That's why I was here today."
Apparently Minister Farrakhan has made an effort to establish peace between rappers.
Why not? They need it!

lol do many of you even realize that Islam,Christianity and Judaism all have the same roots? The all believe in practically the same God they just call him different names. Down the line they all separated and went their own ways. Islam is supposed to be based on peace and for the most part it is but you mainly hear about the "extremes" of a religion. People need people so they join groups to feel good about themselves. Unfortunately, they should do their homework on the group first. Most religious grouops, (almost all) are cracked. Why not be smart and become an atheist? Then at least it is a level playing field and no one badgers anyone about their religion. Then it is about personal ethic and choices, a stronger set of values when uncovered by religious dogma.

If you decide to pick and choose what you believe in the Koran like some Christians do with the Bible it does not change the fact that it is in there.
It is all context "Break." I was raised Christian but I don't believe in the theory of, "an eye for an eye" just because the Bible says it. In addition, I DO believe in gay marriage, and I DO believe in the equal rights of all citizens. Quite honestly, the Bible and the Qu'ran and various other religious texts were created, developed and told within a specific period in history, a time that is very different from our own. Certainly these texts say things that we may find offensive, but it does not mean that everyone who is a Muslim or a Christian believes in it. There are positive and progressive movements being made in Islam and Christianity, and to suggest that all Muslims are sexist and homophobic is a horrible and offensive generalization. Furthermore, I understand the position of atheists, and I would never condemn them for their beliefs, everyone has a right to their opinion, just as I do.
