Comedy Central Finally Open Their Wallets For Silverman!

It's official!
The Sarah Silverman Show is on for season number three!
Execs over at Comedy Central came up with the perfect solution to the budget dramz - sharing the bill with Comedy Central sister network, Logo!
The show will be budgeted over $1.1 million per episode, a large jump from the modest $850,000 offered only a matter of days ago.
By ponying up a portion of the budget costs, Logo will have clearance to air new eps when the season premieres in early 2010!
When asked about the final decision, Silverman told reporters "We're happy. All we ever wanted was just to make our show. Nothing fancy — just our show."

What do they spend the money on?!?!? The sets are cheap, all the actors are unknowns and there are no expensive special effects! Do they spend all the money on Catering and rubdowns with happy endings for the crew?! There is NO reason that show should cost one million an episode.

1.1 million too much??? That was the Friends salary per episode. Try to make one film for 1.1 million. You can do it, but it's ridiculously difficult. You people have no clue how production works. Sarah Silverman's show is actually the most expensive show for Comedy Central to produce. There's nothing cheap about the sets. They have to pay the actors, directors, writers, crew, equipment, post-production, etc. They also do animation on the show. I'm tired of people having opinions who have no idea what they're talking about.
