      Perez lies and says the show was great but if you read most other reputable reviews the Spears show was terrible with Spears forgetting to lip-sync at times,not even paying attention to the croud and walking around like a lost robot.she seemed thankfull it was over.
      i predict another knee ingury and cancelled show due to poor ticket sales,ticket sales are already not going well with tonnes of tickets still available for shows..wake up people Spears is over,she's a no talent puppet of the studio.

      im gonna guess not many. the point of this is perez claims ot be the queen of all media and yes he's had a more than vocal opinion of britney over the course of the last few years.

      personally, for perez, its a good deal. he gets publicity and im sure that is his intention anyway. his site gets boosted, which is why he was there in the first place.

      Re: slooshy – Don't get me wrong, I've seen Madonna live more than 15 times, I think she's amazing (and has her done her own share of lip syncing), but to her credit, really does use live vocals. I think Britney can hire the same people, and follow the same trail, but will never have the ability to do what Madonna does…and for 25 years. I met Madonna, she was very polite, yet quick in conversation. My point was it's clear that no one — especially Britney — is going to be as big as Madonna is/was. but I'm very curious to see what Gaga does, she seems much more fresh in her approach to taking the 80s and mincing it up.

Either way, seeing as how Britney has the best team in the business (and she must in order to make her terrible singing voice sound decent), why are they unable to come up with an original stage act for her?       Well, she doesn't claim to be original, and none of the artists that people are throwing out are that much original themselves (i.e. Christina, Madonna). Everything they've done has been done before as well. If you want to see someone original, try to find a copy of Kate Bush's Live 1979 tour. The stuff that Madonna and Britney are getting praise for, Kate was doing back then (the microphone headpiece that you see everyone using now was actually created specifically for that tour so that Kate could dance while singing), and even though you could say it was a little more low budget, her show still was groundbreaking, and it was all done with live vocals and a real backup band.

All you have to do is look beyond the "pop" brand being shoved down everyone's throats, and which Madonna, Shitney, and Christina all belong. The level of plasticity and the amount of recycling in acts like Britney Spears should not be acceptable in this day and age. If you want my opinion, the only reason it is tolerated is because the majority of Americans are suckers. Not only do I refuse to see the pop-tart live because it's basically kareoke, but because it is a completely unoriginal concept. SHE HAS TO BE ABLE TO OFFER SOME UNIQUE EXPERIENCE, and since she can't, she can suck it.

      Re: DanielDax – Without Debbie Harry/Blondie or Donna Summer, there would be no Madonna in the way her career is now, and I agree about Kate Bush, and this could go all the way back to say, Peggy Lee. (Annie Lennox is amazing live too). The really sad thing as a music fan is that if Britney and this A-List team of hers can't move it forward and originate, because there is no heart behind it, no creativity. It's just a business to these people, rather than having some sort of artistic vision, and I believe that is why Britney and this show are dead on the inside, and it makes me sad. In New York I see so many amazingly talented people on stage that can SING, DANCE and ACT, and then there is this poor girl, who can't sing one note. Sad.
