Blackmail! More Regis Family Drama

Money can tear families apart, sadly. Especially when you have some crazy ass daughter-in-law!
As we previously mentioned, Regis Philbin's daughter-in-law, Judy, had spoken to the National Enquirer asking Regs for money since her husband, Danny Philbin, was going broke.
Then, last month we sadly found out that Danny tried to kill himself by taking too many pills!
The latest development in this twisted tale is that Danny has filed to get a restraining order against Judy. In new court docs, he states, "I learned by her admission that she (Judy) had a plan to blackmail and extort money from my father." Adding that she is addicted to methamphetamine and that she threatened to kill him if he didn't give her money for her drugs.
Duhrama!!!!
As for crazy Judy, she claims, "I certainly never threatened Danny with being 'beaten up' or 'killed' if he did not get money from Regis for drugs. He lied to get the restraining order and get me out of the house."
However, Danny's statements claim "She outright threatened me with physical violence" if he did not "meet her demand for payment of money to buy her drugs." He also claimed that two months earlier, the cops had to remove Judy from their home "with a gun in her possession."
Considering Danny weighs just 85 pounds and is wheelchair-bound as a result of both of his legs being amputated, we don't doubt she could probably hurt him easily.
Looks like they both need psychiatric help!

Ha, this 'news' has been cut and pasted right out of the Globe magazine! In a way though, I am glad that Regis can no longer ignore his poor unfortunate son. As his dad and one with millions of dollars, he could surely help this poor guy, put in a home from very young age as neither Regis nor his mother would look after him. If nothing else, Regis CAN cushion him in money and I think it is about time his son had a worry free and comfortable existance, just like good old dad!! Regis would never miss the cash.

50 grand a year to this poor crippled guy-Regis would never miss it! He was working at the Pentagon in '01 when the 911 plane hit it, injured ,hasn't worked since. That's the only time Regis mentioned him on the air. It's DISGRACEFUL Regis isn't helping him. Maybe Joy has something to do with it.

wow, drama indeedy. how come regis never talks abot his other kids. the ones he has with joy aren't his only kids. i'm not playing the pity card coz of the disability, but it sounds like his son does need help and regis has the financial and personal means to get him out of what sounds to be a bad and co-dependent relationship with that woman. it's all so jerry springer i don't know whether it is real or ficton.

Regis told ON AIR when his son was engaged to Judy and when he and Joy went to his son's wedding. Regis has shown photos of Regis and his son together. He talked about ON AIR why his son when to college in DC as getting around DC in a wheelchair is easier than other colleges. I met Danny in DC when he was working for the gov. He's a nice guy, humble and prefers not to be in the spotlight. It is very sad his wife is a druggie and he has to go through this and the blogs beat him and his dad up because he needs to get rid of this crazy wife. I am sure Regis is privately assisting his son and they should not be trashed on blogs as anyone can marry a person that becomes a drug addict . Life has dealt this man enough with loss of his legs and a druggie wife, so don't rip what left of him apart on blogs.
