Martha Stewart's Dog Perishes In Tragic Accident

How sad!
Martha Stewart's beloved Chow Chow, Genghis Kahn, was killed in a bizarre propane accident during a kennel stay!
No one is quite sure what exactly happened, but during a propane delivery, something went amiss, causing an explosion to erupt. The propane truck driver was able to toss a couple dogs over the fence before getting burned (but surviving) himself.
In the end, 16 dogs perished, including Genghis, while 14 other dogs survived, some with severe burns.
In her blog, Martha wrote, "I am deeply saddned…. My heart goes out to Karen Tracy [Kennel owner] and I am hoping for a speedy recovery for those (both pets and humans) injured in this terrible event. Here is a tribute to my little Ghenghis Khan who perished in the blaze."
We echo those sentiments!
We hope that Genghis is now enjoying an endless supply of Milk Bones up in doggie heaven!

Martha Stewart - always so gracious. Talk about a freak accident! It is so painful losing a pet - I'm still sad about my beloved King Charles Spaniel, George, who passed on 3 years ago. Maybe I should get another dog, but I don't think I'm ready to love again.

This happened right down the road from my house. we went by at 1:45 and it happened at 2:40. it was terrible! they showed all the dogs on the news. the burned dogs! she had her dog at the kennel because Tracy breads them! It was still a pup yet. and it wasn't ritzy! it was just a small kennel outside the womans house. They found one dog in a river and 2 on the highway. the man, from ameriagas, is in critical condition and they won't release his name. he was underneath the propane tank at the time of the explosion! so pray for him and all the poor dogs who couldn't get out in time!
