We mean, just look at them!

Here they are filming some sort of countryside hooker scene for the American travesty version of Absolutely Fabulous.

      Now I love both Kathryn Hahn and Kristen Johnson, who BTW looks awesome after having lost all that weight from being so severely ill, but I don't know how well this is going to go over. We all saw how the American "Coupling" did which wasn't well. I agree that it's good that "Eddie" is standing behind this, but still!

      People like to watch good TV and for some it's better when it's made to reflect the culture of the country it's being shown in- hence the remake.
      Yes, the original was fantastic and will always be.
      There's room for this version too- Jennifer Saunders must agree or she wouldn't be are part of this project.
      Little Britain USA didn't really need to be made either- yet many people get a kick of out that version too.

      i have to say that after seeing the pilot run through last week, i was skeptical too. kristen johnson was funnier in between takes than the dialogue that was written for her (even if she's still frighteningly skinny!) part of the hilarity of the original was that they were in their 40's & 50's, and jennifer saunders' edina was always trying to lose 2 stone american television is too scared to put anything other than size 2, 30 yr old blandness on the screen.

      Absolutely Fab, the BRITISH(!) version, is one of my FAVORITE TV program - I watch the older episodes on youtube all the time! They also ran on German / France TV program many, many years ago! I doubt there can be any GOOD American "adaption" of it! :-)

      AbFab is the brain-child of a comic genius. There is no reason why Americans need to remake it. What's done is done. I find it hard to believe that Jennifer Saunders OK'd this. Though I know she did, maybe she didn't expect it to go so poorly. Kathryn Hahn is too dressed up to be Edina, who always (ALWAYS) wore clothes that were too small for her. And Patsy, played by Kristen Johnston, never wore Leopard print leggings. I understand that this is a remake, but they're killing it.

I have seen rehearsals and these girls ROCK.That was then and this now sweeties!       This show was hilarious! I couldn't have loved it more. Nothing against either of these ladies…but they are NO Patsy and Edina. Why don't these studios do more with original ideas instead of trying to re-make something that was great. I can think of 20 different show or movie remakes that were HORRIBLE!
