A South Carolina man was almost burnt to a crisp when the bed he was tanning in erupted into flames!!!

Duh, we all know tanning beds are hazardous to your health!!!

The tanner got the eff out of the bronzing coffin after feeling the sizzle of a flame close to his foot.

Yeowch!

The South Carolina strip mall was promptly evacuated after the bed burst into flames and firefighters spend over an hour battling the blaze!

Just another reason why pale skin is the secks!

Oh my God, Perez…you and so many others don't know that tanning indoors is actually way safer than tanning outdoors. Some people that tan just wayyy overexpose themselves and end up looking like cowskin.
If you're going to tan, just be smart - start tanning at a low intensity for a short amount of time and gradually build it. AND! Don't fucking tan every day…once a week is plenty.
Why hate on people for choosing not to be pasty?! Just hate on the ones who look like leather!!!

I'm glad my tanning session has been and gone today!
and yes, 'we all know tanning beds are hazardous to your health' - but apparently, drinking coffee, using a mobile phone, using deodrant, walking near a pylon, going outside, sneezing…(Ok, maybe not the last two, yet) give you cancer, and unless I spend the rest of my life sitting inside my wardrobe, I'm at risk at some level, which is why I've become more open-minded to sunbeds recently, that, and I am sick of looking like Caspers older sister!

Plus, like someone said, it's much better to work your tan up safely on a sunbed, than burn to a crisp in the sun.

Hope people that use tanning beds now have ANOTHER reason to stop!! Why not spray tan - it's just as easy, it's instant, it's WAY better for your skin and you won't catch on fire or get killed!! Porcelain skin has become a negative image how? There is social pressure to expose our flesh to harmful substances such as the sun, tanning beds or through other artificial tanning products that use chemicals to alter skin color. Those who chose to keep their natural skin color and even use products that protect their skin and hinder or prevent tanning are viewed negatively. Why is it still not okay to just be “comfortable in your own skin”?
