Not Everyone Is A Jade Goody Fan
As we've mentioned before, UK reality TV star Jade Goody is dying from cervical cancer that has spread to other parts of her body, including the brain. The news has been all over England and spread globally.
In fact, even Michael Jackson called the reality TV star on the phone to show his support. Like Jackson even knows who she is!
But, you know, when people are dying, those around them only tend to only focus on the good. Like forgetting that Goody first gained worldwide attention while starring in Celebrity Big Brother and tormenting former housemate, Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, with some really racially incensitive comments.
However, that's not the case with Oasis douche Noel Gallagher. He's calling the whole media attention Goody's receiving in the UK "embarrassing for Britain."
Gallagher said in a recent interview, "I was watching the TV today and they're all outside her house. There's a global crisis apparently going on, and it's 'Jack Straw, could you have a look at this?' I mean, I’ve got fuck all against Jade Goody, that's nothing to do with me. But it bends my head. That, to me, sums up in one tiny five-minute thing on the news what an embarrassing place Britain is right now."

He's always been a douche…..but, alll this media attention on her dying is kind of morbid and inappropriate but, I understand she needs it to support her children after her death.

I think it's awful that even as she nearing closer to her death, people are still critiquing her decisions. She doing this for her children, so they won't have the upbringing she had to endure. Sure, people die of cancer everyday, but we live in a world of Celebrity where people are famous for the wrong reasons? She was on a reality show - who made her a star? we did, we voted for her, we watch her shows, we talk about her positively or negatively, she is still news. So if all these people who profusely disagree with her actions - then why go to or comment to media on the subject of Jades death, why use her illness as an excuse to have an 'outlandish' comment in the press. People like Katie Price and Liam are using their opinions to get a reaction out of people and get their face into the media.
Just let Jade die the way she wants too - she's first a foremost a mother doing right by her kids. Also, ask Gallagher to check the rise in smear tests in UK then ask if she's doing the right thing - there's millions of people dying each day of cancer, but Jade's story might convince women to go and get themselves checked, so maybe she's saved a few lives.

I hate Jade Goody. After everything she done on big brother and how annoying and horrible she has been over the years she expects everyone to forget about that and feel sorry for her. If I had cancer I wouldn't want the cameras around me, but she is such an attention seeker that she wants them around her all the time. Many other people have had cancer and no-one has cared but now that its her everyone cares. She isn't even famous and unless you live in the UK you don't know half the horrible things she has done!!!

In a way, he is right. The attention focused on Goody at this time is like vultures circling. It is grotesque and demeaning. She is dying, let her do so in privacy and dignity. What does that say about today's society? However, the attention focused on her before now (when, as you stated, she is merely a talentless, reality-star, racist) was also rather appalling. Then again, so is all the attention focused on talentless, pantyless airheads like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and the like. Why as a society do we eat up coverage of tragedy and trainwrecks? What does that say about how empty our lives must be? How must we love Shadenfreude. Gallagher is right, but it isn't just a problem for Britain. God, help us all.

I fully support Jade's staying in the media. Firstly because, as she said herself, she's not the only person going through this, but they get hidden away and left to feel isolated. Jade is showing the nasty bits people don't want to think about. And she's also encouraging young women to get screened so less people will go through it.
Secondly, I think it's great that she's raised so much money for her boys' future.
I feel so sorry for her and her two little boys, But for 18 months i watched my mam suffer and eventually die from cancer as so many people have & everytime i open the paper i see this woman dying its not nice! she should be let die in peace!

I am neither a fan of Oasis or Goody; however, NG does have a point. I feel for J Goody the same way i would feel for anyone dying of cancer. My sympathies are with her and her family at this time. However, this is the same person who is known for being extremely nasty/racist while healthy. Therefore, not because she is dying doesnt now make her into a good person. She was a lowlife when healthy and she is still the same lowlife while dying. There are cancer patients out there who have led a much better life whom we hear nothing about. Enuf on Jade Goody.
