Never shying from flaunting her figure, Beth donned a Herve Leger bandage dress for Fashion Week in Paris at Stella McCartney Ready-to-Wear A/W 2009 on Monday.

We think that the form-fitting frock looks awesome!

To echo other sentiments - this is NOT healthy. While I think it is wonderful to love yourself and your body, I also believe if people really cared about themselves, they would not become obese. I'm a fitness nut and love working out, but I understand it may hard for overweight people to begin a fitness routine at the gym, where your body is on display. I can't help but think, though, that the reason why it is hard is because overweight people are embarassed of their body, which is evidence of their laziness (not in cases where there are diseases in play… before everyone starts jumping on me). Let me know when she starts hitting the gym and eating healthy - then I'll be able to respect her, no matter what size she is. Until then, I just think she's a poor role model, and hurting her body and other women's bodies by condoning obesity.

So every other heavy-set celeb needs to get trim for the sake of their health, according to Perez. Yet this Beth Ditto gets plastered with praise for every photo she has taken. Perez seems to admire that she does "her thing" and isn't afraid of the world judging her appearance, but that doesn't excuse others who are overweight.

Just another annoying double standard that Perez holds.

She is NOT attractive in any way. It's not to say because she is overweight, but because she looks so unhealthy! Like just as much as anorexic twig models make me sick, Beth Ditto is just as bad but on the opposite spectrum.

If she dropped 30 or 40lbs, that wouldn't be giving in to the social pressure of being thin..she wouldn't be breaking down or selling out..it would show "hey, this girl actually gives a shit about her health and life."

Perez will go on putting smokers on the shit list and make sure to criticize them for it no matter WHAT the actually topic is…but the suggestion of Beth losing a few pounds will NEVER be scribed on this blog.

I bet Perez feels threatened by Beth in some way..no, not as in she makes threats, but rather she must make him feel foolish and unintelligent in conversations er something. I dunno, but there has to be some reason he isnt vocal about the honest truth that would be in her best interest…unless he doesnt care about unhealthy celebs and just picks on te beautiful ones. It doesn't matter if these two are friends or not, he should never EVER say that one person who is obese looks amazing and another person looks like a whale for gaining 10lbs. This isn't called 'curves'..this is morbidly obesity Perez. There is a huge difference!! Curvy women are generally healthy, Beth Ditto certainly is not. People who overweight as much as she is are heart attacks waiting to happen, run the risk of diabetes, back problems, knee problems etc. But who cares, if she wants to die before she's 50, she can go ahead.
