Under Pressure, Chris Beat Her Down Withdraws His Name From Kids Choice Awards Consideration
This just continues to prove Ike Turner Chris Brown is such a douchebag!
As we mentioned yesterday, despite the fact that thousands of requests were sent to Nickelodeon to remove Rihanna's reported attacker from the nominee list, the network stood behind the alleged woman beater and refused to take away Brown's nomination.
Well, they must have been working overtime behind the scenes to deal with this publicity "nightmare"!
Just last week, shithead Brown was urging people to vote for him. He even took to his official MySpace page to ask for his fans to vote for him.
IDIOT!
Ever the liar, Brown has now gone back on his original statements. Instead, his reps have just issued a statement officially withdrawing Brown's name from consideration for the two Kids Choice Awards for which he was nominated.
It's about time!
His reps say:
"Chris very much appreciates the support of his fans and the honor they have paid him in the way of nominations for Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song. Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding the incident last month has shifted the focus from the music to whether he should be allowed to be among those nominated. While Chris would like to speak to his fans directly about this and other issues, pending legal proceedings preclude his doing so at this time. Once the matter before him has been resolved, he intends to do so."
Seriously, would you want your kids thinking Chris Brown is a good role model?
They should have dropped him from the nominations a while ago!

i have a 10yr old & i don't feel that this situation has any relevance on his career. kids should be taught AT HOME by their parents on who is an adequate role model and/or why. this has nothin to do with him professionally. from reports, he had a bad upbringing. he still has growing up to do & most definitely needs some type of help. this is no way an excusable action on his part & he should suffer whatever consequences THE LAW decides adequate-the same way any other would.
i find it strange how people right away want to rip his career away, when he's so young & has a life ahead. how can we be supporting octomom & her ridiculous habits when we can't even give brown the ability to be forgiven? we're obviously standing behind octomom & her kids because as dr phil said, how can we as a nation push them aside. brown is still a kid. how is everyone able to push him aside? he's still a human being that grew up learning a horrible action & needs some serious help. not to be shun out by the community. there are many other cases & drug use going on, yet no one is throwin them out of their career. what he needs is support & guidance to prevent him from making THIS same mistake again. hitting a woman is not acceptable, but if "his" woman is forgiving him then we (society, not the law) have no right to condemn his career. rihanna is the victim, yes- but if we're speaking of "role models" -then i'd say that her actions in takin him back right away are questionable for the young girls & she shouldn't be up for a nomination at the awards' show either. where does one draw the line? when it suits everyone? that's HIGHlarious.

Someone with destroyed self confidence wouldn't be challenging her abuser with physical violence to begin with (they are usually fearful of the unprompted explosions). I don't think she lacks self confidence, I think she is a dysfunctional young woman who thinks she could get in his face, get loud with him and make him stop cheating on her. A fitting punishment for him would be to have someone about the same difference in height and weight as between Chris and Rhianna. Have this person give him the same physical abuse as he gave her, regularly, for a few months. Under that pressure, he might rethink a lot of things.

With my sister, the abuse finally stopped when my brother in law finally broke a pool cue over her back and used the broken end to try to strangle her. Her agency, friends, family all warned her of this. (She'd arrived at photos shoots more than once with bruises.) He was warned what would happen to him if he ever touched her again. He has not seen her since and it's been years. The warning still stands.
