Love this whole thing. This, like you said before, is a poorman's Andy Kaufman. That was completely staged. I liked how one of Casey's cameras was conveniently RIGHT NEXT to the guy he attacked.

I am just tired of this whole faux Joaquin Phoenix meltdown. I totally blame Sash Baron Cohen for this. Without Borat and now Bruno, I don't think Phoenix or Casey Affleck would have come up with this idea. I think it insults our intelligence to believe this is true.
As for Andy Kauffman comparisons, there is none. No one ever knew where Kauffman's faux insanity ended and the true insanity began and he did everything for his own warped amusement, not to make a movie. Kauffman was as insane when the cameras weren't running as they were when they were. Anyone with a brain knows Phoenix is full of it and is just filming a Borat style documentary.

I am so dissapointed in him at this point. he has totally fucking lost it. I had so much respect for him as an actor before now. He really had blown me away with his ability as an actor before now. What the fuck is he on???? He is seriously on drugs!! That much is evident and for none of his close friends or family to intervene or try and get him to get his shit together is beyond me. Especially his sisters husban Casey Affleck. I would have thought that he of all people would have done something to get him to snap out of it by now. I know that he is ultimately repsponsible for his own shit but people that are close to celebs that have meltdowns like this have more influence than this and I know that he would probably listen to people that he is very close to. it just makes you wonder if people that he is really close to really do have his best interest at heart. I think he really has lost it. Completely.
