Katherine Heigl's character on Grey's Anatomy, Dr. Izzie Stevens, has been diagnosed with metastic melanoma, a skin cancer quickly spreading to Stevens' brain, viewers found out on Thursday night.
Brutal!
Although producers won't confirm whether or not Dr. Izzie's cancer is terminal, it's been reported that "[Producer] Shonda [Rhimes] and the writers are pissed at her… It's their way of screwing with her. She won't know whether she's going to live or die."
Ha ha!
That's what you get for being a total prima-donna!
The crew of Grey's are more than happy to see the demise of Heigl's character, stating the actress is "ready to move on to the next chapter."
Ready to move on? More like they're ready for the wacktress to pack her shit and go!
With the cancer holding a survival rate of 5%, we doubt Katherine will make it past the season finale!

Patrick Dempsey confirmed on The View this week that the entire cast all signed the same contract and they are there for at least another 2 years….I don't think she is going anywhere.

First of all she is possibly my favorite actress and definitely my favorite character on this show. Although i have heard that both her and george are leaving the show, this season has been all about the foreshadowing. I mean, dermatology people? need i say more? And while hallucinating about denny, he told her she had a choice, and she herself said that miracles happen. so, despite the slim chances of her survival, i am still hopeful that it is in the cards somewhere. I do not believe she has been acting in any way bitchy. There is nothing wrong with not wanting to accept nominations or awards that you do not feel you deserve. All she asked for was some award worthy material so she could be deserving of the nominations she had received. There is nothing wrong with feeling like you actually worked for something. Her character has developed so well and i would be very sad to see her go.
my dad is a dermatologist and he just recently had 2 tell one of his patients he only had a few months 2 live from the same disease Izzy has. If what they said in the show IS true. About it already spreading into her brain–she has a smaller chance of recovery. So I think her time is definitely up. That is–if they are responsible writers–how ever–either way I think KH has it coming to her–NEVER diss the writers
