What a relief!
To recap - early this morning, we heard the terrifying news that 54-year-old Robert Dewey Hoskins, a man who was convicted of stalking and threatening Madonna, had escaped from a mental hospital in Norwalk, CA.
The LAPD were describing the man as follows:
"…A very psychotic man when not taking his medication and has very violent tendencies."
Now, we're VERY happy to report that the Los Angeles Police Department have captured Madonna's very dangerous stalker!
The LAPD announced that Hoskins was found around 9 a.m. this morning "not far from the mental facility from which he escaped."
He's currently in police custody and he's being escorted back to the hospital.
We're just glad that nobody was hurt while this man was on the loose. We're ESPECIALLY glad that he wasn't able to get close to Madonna.
Great job, LAPD! We're very pleased and impressed!

ummm I live in Maryland and they taught us not to be believe the numbers in D.C. statistics because 1. DC id not a state and 2. DC has a smaller population than most actual states so of course the number is going to be larger. My mother is a doctor though and i do know the numbers are high Which you are right is sad but I just thought you should know the reasoning behind it but yea point blank WRAP IT UP!

Why can't they just say the actual number of people in washington who have AIDS? There are 591,833 people in washington. That means, there are possibly or roughly around 15,000 people who are infected with HIV/AIDS. The ratio is high compared to other cities with millions of people with less than 15, 000 who have AIDS.
More then 55% of Washington DC population are black. I am afraid that explains the astonishing # of AIDS and HIV.

No reason to be hatin. Many people get it from unfaithful partners and never know it. Just goes to show, get tested at leat once a year at wellcare physical or a clinic. (many are free) And also carry condoms. They are not that expensive.

In an epidemic where the prevalence is less than 1%, HIV is primarily concentrated in groups of people who engage in high risk activity, men who have sex with men, injection drug users, and commercial sex workers.
An epidemic becomes generalized at a rate above 1%, like in DC. In a generalized epidemic anybody who engages in unprotected sex of any kind is at risk, anybody who shares a needle of any kind is at greater risk, any body who does both or either of these with multiple partners is at an even greater risk.
HIV is driven by disparities of wealth and opportunity and DC is a city full of disparities.

End of the story is that we are in a state of emergency in DC, and although Dr. Shannon Hader is doing a great job at HAA, the rest of the government has failed to recognize the severity of the epidemic
