"The Palestine Children's Relief Fund is a registered non-political, non-profit, 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization that was established in 1991 by concerned people in the U.S. to address the medical and humanitarian crisis facing Palestinian youths in the Middle East. It has since expanded to help suffering children from other Middle Eastern nations, based only on their medical needs. The P.C.R.F. helps to locate free medical care for children from the Middle East who are unable to get the necessary and specialized treatment in their homeland.
The main objective of the P.C.R.F. is to identify and treat every child in the Middle East in need of specialized surgery not available to them locally. We locate, sponsor and run volunteer medical missions to the Middle East in adult and pediatric cardiac surgery, pediatric cardiology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, maxillofacial surgery, pediatric urology, ophthalmology, vascular surgery, pediatric orthopedic surgery, occupational therapy, and other specialties. We also locate abroad free medical care for children who cannot be adequately treated in the Middle East. The P.C.R.F. is the main organization regularly sending injured and sick Arab children to North America, the Middle East and Europe for free care that is not available to them there. Since 1991 over 800 children have been or currently are being treated outside of the Middle East through the P.C.R.F.
The P.C.R.F. also helps to improve the quality of medical care in the Middle East by sending medical equipment and supplies to the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The P.C.R.F. has also trained Palestinian surgeons so they can treat patients there and has sent American medical personnel to the region to treat difficult cases and train medical personnel in country.
The P.C.R.F. currently has several injured or sick Arab children in the U.S., the Middle East or Europe being treated for free. We are also working to locate free medical care for many more injured and sick children from Palestine, Lebanon and Iraq. We rely on the kindness of many volunteers throughout the U.S. who act as host families, volunteers and donors, enabling us to continue our humanitarian relief work."

I hope it actually goes to that. Everyone knows the reason they're doing so bad (the Palestinians) is because the government takes the money. Good thing Israel performs surgery on them when needed - even during the war back in January. That said, no child should suffer period.

Even the Palestinians themselves know that their government sucks. They can't even get one government up - they are killing each other - and you can't blame the Fatah and Hamas hating and killing each other on Israel. I'm not Jewish, either, by the way, in case you can't tell by my name.

Why isn't Perez supporting organizations that help innocent Israeli children whose lives have been shattered by terrorists who shoot rockets into their kindergarten classrooms?
Actually, I'm not American, I'm European, and it's known that Europeans hate Israel. I'm not Jewish, either. I volunteered in the Gaza strip and saw first hand what goes on there (which you probably didn't). Even they know their government is real corrupt. They can't even get one government together - the Hamas and Fatah killing each other cannot be blamed on Israel. You can say what you want, but Israel and the Palestinians are both in a complicated situation - they both have claim to the land for hundreds and thousands of years. If the Palestinians would have just accepted the 2 state solution back in 47, most of this could probably be avoided.
Finally, a worthy cause. I can attest to the fact that this organization DOES treat wounded Palestinian children. It is great to know that Perez has finally mentioned something about this issue, considereing that fact that he knows how it feels to be discriminated against. Many in the Gay community are Pro-Palestinian because they know how it feels to not be heard and have people pre- judge you because of the biased media. But regardless, children should not have to suffer, and thankfully this organization can and will help children wounded by bullets from the Isreali military.

Look at the Gaza Strip. Back in 05 they left the Strip with NO promises from the Palestinians whatsoever. Look at the Pal. side - the kidnapped soldier - one 19 year old kid who hasn't killed anyone - in exchange for 450 Pal. who have ADMITTEDLY killed Israelis. How is that OK? The Israelis don't need more money then they already have. Why don't you tell them to quit using most of our tax money for weapons and use it for their community. The Israel children get to be children! They get to go to school, play outside in a clean environment, have a nice house and food, and actually have parents! Palestinian children can't even go to school let alone have one to go to. Some of them even have to go on the streets just to try get money for their families because their father can't get a job. These children live the most miserable lives I have ever seen! Palestinian children would be lucky to have 1/8 of what the Israelis had.
I've lost numerous family members and my ability to go live in my home country just because I have and American passport. It should not matter if I live in America, I have the same right as any person to go live in the Holy Land. Heck they even came after refugee camps. First they take our homes and now they come after us in refugee camps? My family's home is being possibly being demolished for the second time because apparently the Israelis are going to build a railroad that only Israelis use. Tell me, is that what you call a democracy because to me, it's not even close

They talking about the occupation, but we left the Gaza strip 3 years ago.
We evacuated homes, temples and a grave yard, thousand of people left there homes by force in order to get some peace, but its not enough its never enough.

They found shit from Isreali soldiers in the freezers of the homes they were occupying. Isrealis soldiers are cruel, and besides that, do you know how many of them hate serving, that have pychological problems for the rest of their lives because they have to kill innocent people. If a Palestiian child's father or mother is killed by an Isreali soldier, what do you think will happen to that child when he/she grows up?

How come Israel can kill a mass amount of innocent civilians, mostly women and children, and call it 'defending themselves', while Hamas can't shoot a rocket without being called a terrorist organization?
If this was truly a war on Hamas, how come the IDF isn't pinpointing where exactly the militants are instead of risking the lives of the innocent? I'm sure a child of a mere three years is one of the many faces of a Hamas militant. "Oh yes didn't you hear? A three year old was about to ignite a bomb and try to injure the poor Israelis, thank goodness the IDF showed him who's boss." Note the sarcasm. If not, you're a sick, twisted person.
What about the White Phosphorus bombs used by the IDF? Do you know what it does to person?
For your information Israel has occupied Palestine for 60 years. And you know for every occupation, there is a resistance.
Ever since Israel came to occupy the Palestinian's land, many massacres have been committed. Recall Dar Yaseen in Palestine; Qana, Sabra and Shatela in Lebanon. Those massacres were just a few of many. Back then, Hamas and Hezbollah never existed and Israel still committed these acts of terror against the defenseless.

Not only has Israel taken their homes and land, but also limited the rights of the Palestinians. If you see how a Palestinian truly lives, then you would agree how miserable they are. A Palestinian can not build anything on their land without it being legalized and if home were to have, lets say a porch, that has been there for over 70 years, the Israelis somehow find it, tear it down, and say it was illegally built. Israelis don't even allow a Palestinian man to sell any of his crops and receive money to be able to feed his family! Instead the Israelis take it to be sold in Jordan and by the time it reaches there it would already be spoiled and of no use.
Before anyone chooses a side, go see for yourself what is truly happening overseas.
Try all you can to justify what Israel is doing, but everyone knows the truth. A person can only fool another for so long.

Re: DikinCider – That actually happens sadly. I was 8 when I was visiting my family in Al Mukhayam Shafat (The Refugee camp of Shafat). Israeli tanks came into our neighborhood and started shooting and throwing tear gas bombs. My home was filled with children and older family members. The youngest child was 6 months while the oldest was 14 years. While the youngest adult was my mother who was 32 and the oldest was 55. When the tear gas hit us, it had nearly killed my baby cousin. Recently during the Gaza war, I had lost 6 close ones ages 6-13. The Israeli government had told me to never come back, but just to tick them I off, I go every year and am currently visiting this year. They will not stop me from visiting my home country and seeing my family. When you go visit the West Bank, please be careful. The settlers there are absolutely brutal.

The Palestinian Authority magnifies its people's suffering in order to gain political points and just squanders all humanitarian aid from Israel and the rest of the world. It's a lot easier to sell their cause and keep their people motivated when their situation isn't improving.

on the other hand, the PA uses its own people as human shields. It hides top terrorist targets among civilians in order to lure the Israeli military into situations in which there will be high collateral damage.
When this happens, Israel drops pamphlets warning people about the impending attack and asking them to leave in the meantime. Do Palestinian terrorists give Israelis advanced notice before they blow themselves up or shoot rockets at children? No. No other country does that in fact.
The Israeli military is held to a much higher standard than any other military force on earth, yet it gets so much more criticism. I guarantee you that the US or British armies wouldn't even be as concerned with humanitarianism in Israel's situation.

Israeli Gays and lesbians have full adoption and marriage rights, which isn't even the case in the U.S. Arab and Christian Israeli citizens have full legal and voting rights, whereas Jews and Christians are persecuted in most Arab countries.
Actually, Jews can't even live openly in Arab countries. No one complains about the hundreds of thousands of Jews who had to leave their native homelands of Iraq, Iran, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Yemen, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria in the 20th century in order to avoid slaughter. No one set up refugee camps for them or complained or staged rallies. No, it's ok to let things slide when Jews are the victims, but please, by all means, paint them as murderers when they defend themselves.

I've seen Israeli settlements and they are a millions times better then the slums the Palestinians live in. The Israelis consider garbage roads and destroyed school as a legal place for Palestinians to live, while the Israelis have everything. I'm sorry, what kind of warning do terrorists give Israelis before they strike? Because I'm not aware of any such thing. It is a known fact that Israel issues multiple warnings before it attacks as well as opportunities to prevent attacks by making concessions. You cannot deny the fact that Israel dropped pamphlets containing warnings about strikes that were about to occur, even though it compromised its military strategy. I've never heard of a country doing anything like that before. I'd like it if the US had dropped pamphlets in Iraq.

Every nice thing Israel has it built up from the dirt. When large numbers of Jews returned, there was nothing there and the settlers had nothing in their pockets. They turned a wasteland into a land with some of the most advanced scientific research in the world. There isn't a drop of oil in Israel, either. It grew wealthy on innovation and hard work. Nothing was handed to Israel on a platter.
Through hard work, cooperation and putting brains before brawn. Jews have had their livelihoods and their families torn away from them for thousands of years since the destruction of their temple in Jerusalem. They just want to be left alone on their little sliver of earth. Why aren't Arabs enraged that their countries aren't welcoming in Palestinian refugees? The Middle East is a huge place completely dominated by Muslims who should extend charity to their brethren, but they don't.

It's the same in Darfur. Muslim Darfuris are being murdered every day, but Muslim nations aren't rising up against it. In fact, Israel, a Jewish nation with centuries of experience with genocide, has opened its doors to thousands of Darfuri refugees who have been turned away by Egypt and Jordan. Some have said, the only way to spark widespread muslim outcry against the Darfuri genocide would be to have Israel perpetrate it. When Jews or Israelis are involved in something, everyone pays attention. If they're not, the issue goes ignored. I find it terribly sad that Muslims aren't helping other Muslims out.
