RiRi is taking a step in the right direction with talks of the Princess singer starring in a remake of 1992's mega-hit The Bodyguard, which starred Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner!!

A source close to the singer has revealed that Ri caught the acting bug long ago. “Before the situation with Chris, Ri was getting a lot of scripts. She’s been wanting to do movies for a while now."
The Bodyguard remake is said to be a "young and sexy take" on the Houston film with Channing Tatum likely stepping in Costner's role of the bodyguard.
We won't believe it until we see it!

God, I love Channing Tatum!!! He's sexy and talented. He's a really good actor. They want to "update" The Bodyguard? OK. So, here's the plot: Rihanna plays a famous singer who has a crazy, psycho boyfriend who beats the shit out of her. So then her mentor/producer/ a guy like …Jay Z, hires a bodyguard for her, and tells Channing "Don't let her out of your sight, 24/7!" OK. So her crazy boyfriend's nasty managers, etc. start telling people they are back together. Boyfriend starts calling her trying to work on her mind. He's harrassing her, she's mentally weak, and he's driving her crazy. Then a rival producer/publicity whore invites her to Miami to stay on his island to see if maybe she can work things out with her boyfirend. She's terrified, but they tell her if she doesn't, she'll ruin his career and no one in Hip Hop will ever work with her again. She doesn't want to hurt anyone, and she is confused and battered, so she decides to go to Miami. Channing goes with her. Her boyfirend insists on seeing her, but when he sees Channing he loses it and threatens her again. She's in seclusion for a couple of days till her Jay Z type sends a private plane to get her out, but boyfriend hears about it ans tags along. He and Channing are fierce with each other on the ride back. His peeps still making threats, he's leaking they're together. Then he stalks her secret house. Sounds like it could work. Great movie plot, right?
