Madonna is still the Queen, and Britney is now the Grand Duchess of Pop.

Lady Gaga has 1 record and 2 hit songs that dosen't make you a princess of pop. although i like her the princess of pop is either britney spears or rhianna. but even thouh i am not a big fan of britney she has been in the spotlight for over 10 years and has has numerous of top singles therefore making her either queen or princess of pop maybe gaga has a shot in 10 years but until then britney spears holds the title and will continue to do so.

      to say that gaga is the new princess of pop is a little over the top at this stage in her career. i mean, yeah she's been getting some momentum but at the same time…who knows how the test of time will treat her? Britney's lasted 10 years in the industry and despite her downfall she made it back successfully and she still knows how to deliver. Her first album sold faster than gaga's and madonna's combined. where as gaga has yet to tell a million copies of "the fame." madonna has been in the business for over 25 years already and even though her last album didn't sell as well as previous albums, her tour did amazing. I am a huge fan of all 3 of these ladies, but i say gaga has a long way to go. am i happy for her? yes. but you never know…she may end up as a one-hit wonder.

      Britney's first album sold 20 million + albums worldwide, and Gagas first and only album has sold roughly 1 million worldwide.
      Britney revitalized pop music in the 90s and Lady Gaga is just following and tweaking already done styles.
      I think Gaga has a ways to go to be on the same level as Madonna, Britney and Christina.
