DJ AM Wants $20 Million

It's been months since the tragic plane crash and now, DJ A.M., one of the lucky survivors, wants to make sure he gets what he thinks he deserves.
In A.M.'s lawsuit, filed Friday against Learjet and others, he's seeking a minimum of $10 million for medical damages, lost earnings and profits.
He's also seeking another minimum of $10 million for the mental and physical pain and suffering he's resulted.
The official cause of the crash is still under investigation, but obviously the defendants involved have denied the responsibility for the fatal accident.
Currently, A.M, Travis Barker, the wife of Barker's assistant (who passed away in the crash), and the mother of Barker's bodyguard (who also passed away) have all filed wrongful death lawsuits against various corporations involved.
Let's hope this case gets over and done with quickly, so those involved can finally try to move on.

In cases like this everybody sues for extremely high amounts of $$$, but end up getting a fraction of what they originally ask for.

Bleh. Another absurd lawsuit. $20 million is a ridiculous amount to ask for. I feel for him and his situation but enough is enough. I hope he only gets the amount that he actually deserves, which is far less that what he is asking. Why $20 million?? Does he need to buy a new Malibu property or something? Wait a minute….so he miraculously survives the plane crash, and at the hospital they do tests b/c he was burned and they detect a blood clot that could have killed him had he not been tested. THEN b/c of his fear of flying as a result of this crash, he decides not to fly on another plane that also ended up crashing, thus saving his life AGAIN. And now he thinks he deserves money even though this one event saved his life twice? Doesn't make sense to me….do a story on THAT, Perez!

Travis Barker and DJ AM couldn't possibly be suing for wrongful death - they didn't die, and the ppl who did aren't related to them, so they have no standing - they have to be suing for something else.
