Natasha Richardson was not able to survive the brain injury she suffered while skiing in Canada on Monday.
The British actress' husband, Liam Neeson, has officially confirmed the tragic news, issuing a press release that reads:
"Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time."
So sad.

My heart goes out to the family of Natasha Richardson and Liam Neeson. They were a terrifically talented Hollywood couple. Richardson came from a very graceful line of strong female actors. She's a unique life who will be missed.

My condolences to those familys and you LL..I know how you must feel. SUCH an unnessary thing; if drunks wouldnt drive (which is easy to do - walk or call a cab or ride with a friend for gods' sakes) Now 10 young lives have been ripped from the moms (Im a mom so it hits me even if I dont know them) and all. EVERY unnecessary death or bad thing happening is because some self idiot does whatever they please, with no regard to the law and WHY there is a law about the issue.

Much too soon at her age…..makes you wonder about your own priorities in life.
And, please, always wear a HELMET when skiing, even on beginners' slopes!

I saw on the news last night that they had taken her off life support, and now she's DEAD! RIP, Natasha Richardson!!! 
I send all my condolences to her sons and her husband, i know this must be a TRAGIC time for them right now. We lost a wonderful actress too soon! My heart really goes out to her family! So sad at how they lost her!

This is so sad. This story really makes me think how lucky I am to have both my parents still with me. I feel so bad for the family and Natasha. She was such a beautiful looking lady. I'm sure she was a lovely person too. R.I.P.

Aww this is very sad
She's way too young to die, and her death could have been prevented. If only she had accepted the ambulance, she definitely would have lived. She leaves behind many people who love her, and she won't be forgotten.

Umm don't some of you owe Perez an apology for going after him last night when he reported that she would be taken off life support? He did get it right…and he got it before anyone else, something to that you guys complain about, how's he's always late w/the news.
My thoughts and prayers are w/Natasha's family. My heart hurts for those two boys and Liam, along w/her mom and sibling.
