Lohan Remembers Natasha Richardson

Back when LiLo had an acting career, a 12-year-old Lindsay Lohan starred alongside the late Natasha Richardson in 1998's remake of The Parent Trap.
Lohan had a few words of remembrance of her former co-star upon her passing.
"She was a wonderful woman and actress and treated me like I was her own," recalled Lindsay. "I didn't see much of her over the years but I will miss her… My heart goes out to her family. This is a tragic loss."
Tragic indeed.

It's reassuring to know that Lindsay Lohan still has a publicist issuing statements for her (though why and how she retains them is anyone's guess). Lindsay didn't seem disturbed yesterday about Natasha Richardson; after a few snide remarks about her uncaring, unconcerned attitude, it appears her manager/agent decided to do some damage control.
Sorry, Lindsay…but it's way too little much too late. Please go back under the rock you crawled out from under and stay there.

That was actually the 1st movie I saw with Natasha Richardson. The re-make of The Parent Trap. How odd, it was Lindsay's first and probably best movie to date.

Are some of you THAT pessimistic and could not even think that maybe news reporters PURPOSELY went to Lindsay as she did make a film with Natasha to get her view on the situation and thoughts of what she remembered of Natasha? I honestly doubt Lindsay ran to the news to talk about it just to get her name mentioned! Some of you are really cold.
lindsay actually knew the woman and had the privilege of working with her. Of course it was right for her to make a statement and it struck the right tone.
too bad lohan wasn't one of richardson's kids — she would have grown up in a normal family and likely become a respectable, responsible actor and adult —- when you send condolences, you don't do it through a publicist unless you're only looking for publicity

This damage control statement puts Lindsay in an even worse light than before, if that's possible.

Lindsay was asked for a comment.The Parent Trap was one of Natashas most famous movies.She even attended Natashas birthday party in 2007,so they were friends.Iam glad she said nice words.
Re: FLCutie27 – REALLY, if people read the eonline post, it looked like they email/called people who have worked with her and asked for quotes. no matter what lindsay did in this situation, some people will blast her. no remark, people would ask, why hasn't lohan said anything, something bad, what a bitch, and she does issue something good and hopefully sincere and alot of you think she is doing this to keep her name in the press. do you feel that way about the others that issued statements about natasha?
I don't know much about Natasha–she seemed like a good person.
Her mother on the other hand is a terrorist. Google "Vanessa Redgrave and Al-Qaeda" and you'll see for yourself. For example, she paid the bail for terrorists at Gitmo and has made pro-Islamic speeches for decades. She's a piece of garbage.
My heart just aches for this family. Our family had the exact same experience 4 years ago with my little sister who was 35. One day she's here alive, beautiful and vibrant, the next she had a freak accident and was in a comma on life support. Three days later after the doctor said she is brain dead and will not come back, we pulled the plug. Seven minutes later she was gone. It was so sureal (still is) and so painful. I don't care how it sounds I am going to write her family to give my support. IF they read my letter, I hope my experience can bring them some comfort. The pain never goes away but it gets easier.
I'm surprised she can even remember back that far, at how wonderful Natasha was in that movie. Surprised Lindsay wasn't stoned back then as well. You don't mean anything you say, your 15 minutes of fame were up a loooong time ago.
Anything to get in the news! The family requested respect for their privacy but Lindsay obviously doesn't think this applies to her.

Lindsay Lohan was so adorable in that movie! Who'd have thought she'd turn into what she is today. I mean, I still think she's gorgeous but more times than not she looks a hot mess!!

Re: sushi – Lindsay didn't SAY anything at all regarding Natasha Richardson…she was out shopping, with a BIG smile on her face as if nothing at all was amiss in her world. That would have been the time for her to issue this statement and/or feign sadness. Perhaps she's living in a cave and honestly didn't know that Ms. Richardson was barely clinging to life. The timing is what's off-putting here.

I think "The Parent Trap" was how a lot of people knew Natasha, so it only makes sense that Lindsay would make a statement. It probably wasn't a released statement, anyway. A reporter probably asked her, so she commented.
