Another new song from Tori Amos' upcoming Abnormally Attracted To Sin album has hit the Internets and…
We haven't been this excited about a Tori record in a while!!!!
Fire To Your Plain is the name of this latest song to surface and, like the other tune that surfaced this week on the Web, it's sonically very different than the last few albums. Once again, we're reminded of Choirgirl - and that's a good thing!

I can't wait!!! I went to one of her concerts about 9 years ago and it was amazing.
I love this new direction for her. She is always reinventing her sound and trying new things, which is what a true artist does.

It also sounds NOTHING like Choirgirl, just like "Welcome To England" sounded nothing like Choirgirl. I'm starting to think that's the only album you've ever listened to.

this song is painfully mediocre filler music, as was "welcome to england." i've been a huge tori fan for 11 years, up until she decided to tone it down with scarlet's walk…she seems domesticated and she's lost that signature fierceness. it's really heartbreaking. if she's ever going to make another good album, i think she needs to accept that the magic is in her and her PIANO…not in this band shit where the piano gets drowned out. she's more about concepts these days than the actual music. AHHHH

It's alright. Again, it doesn't really remind me of Choirgirl. This sounds a little too safe for Tori. I wish she would do something weirder like Boys For Pele, which is by far her best album.

Yeah, it reminds me of Scarlet's Walk. And Scarlet's Walk was safer than her previous work, but it was a masterpiece in my opinion. But this sounds watered down. She has good melodies, but she needs her piano and she needs that passion back in her voice. These new songs don't impress me.

Re: TopDog24 – Amen! Boys For Pele was the BEST! Her first 5 albums were good, really, but something went very wrong with these concept albums! This new stuff is safe, poppy bullshit! It's sad to say, but she was much more interesting when she was unhappy!
Well, she even looks like Kate Bush now. So, she should be fat in about say 10 years.

I miss the days of Pele, Under The Pink, Choirgirl. She's not the same. She changed with Venus, which is thought was great. And Scarlet's Walk was great. American Doll Posse had some great moments, but it's time to go to an edgier sound. Remember listening to Pele for the 1st time? It was like WOW! This isn't.
*Yawn* She hasn't released anything interesting since 1999.
