America's favorite financial expert has some choice words for the former President, George W. Bush, regarding the financial crisis the United States is currently drowning in.
And his role in it!
She says:
"You blew up every single financial vessel we had and if you think you aren't personally responsible, well, the blame starts at the top. There is no higher top than you, SIR! If I were you, I would feel so absolutely horrific that I would take every penny I had and distribute it to anybody and everybody to help them in whatever way I could. She tells the truth. De-regulation started in the very late 80's, and it's been a leaking ship ever since. Financial accounting rules existed for a reason. It's so bad that the whole thing looks intentional. Suze is old school, and she knows her stuff. She has single handedly saved thousands of retirement funds and homeowners with her sound advice since last August. Thank you, Suze.

I would like to thank all the Bush bashers for making me realize that we are all just pawns and mindless subjects to a man and his red button. This whole time I thought "trusted" officials were elected and put in place in sake of our best interest. A couple of years ago, I bought a new car. I originally thought it was because I chose to create a debt for myself. In fact, now that you mention it, there was a guy standing behind me and holding my hand, forcing me to sign my name. And you know, he did look a lot like Mr. Bush. yeah……..YEAH! It was him! And because of what I believed as a result of my own negligence and irresponsibility, really was in fact nothing but a personal vendetta executed against me by our former president. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight………..
Look, I feel for those who may have been ignorant (not dumb) to the real intentions of big business, but honestly and fairly, you can't blame it all on one man. Sure he may have a hand in it, but so does corporate America as well as those in the senate and congress, but ultimately responsibility lies within ourselves as well. Were all fickle, praising and supporting a man at one time, and completely turning on him later because of his perceived faults while not recognizing our own. It's called personal responsibility, living within your means, and the tried but true, hard work and saving for your wants and funds for possible hard times. Before you jump on me, I'm not talking about saving for the "necessity" of a home, but I am talking about those who buy homes well beyond there means and needs. And to those who were buying homes and taking out a second, in order to buy the nice cars, the boats, the RVs, etc… all of these things while expecting to afford them and survive on their not promised paychecks. It's just so sad to me how we as a society of a so called prosperous and advance country, are slowly becoming a bunch of lazy whiners while always looking to blame someone for our own mistakes…. We were approaching a recession even before G.W.Bush took office. He just increased the rate of how quickly we were entering one even before anyone could do anything about it. Instead of spending millions and billions on war, why couldn't we pay off debt to foreign countries or pump it into our economy?
Oh okay, let's blame Bush because someone who makes $20 bucks an hour qualified for an adjustable rate mortgage for a $400,000 house at one point which they obviously couldn't afford because some greedy banks and loan officers let it go through and the person was stupid enough to sign for it. Then after getting the loan, they borrow against the house up to the hilt to pay against credit cards that once again they can't afford. People need to take responsibility for their own bad choices.

And, while Bush is to blame for certain things, are Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, and Christopher Dodd by Orman's standards blameless. Barack Obama and Christopher Dodd were the largest recipients of AIG money. What does that tell you? She should focus on telling me how to manage my personal finances because she clearly knows nothing about politics. About the only thing she knows about is how to interrupt people and dress horribly. She does well at those.
