Grandpa Durst is still standing behind the story that Brit Brit shared a close relationship with his limp biscuit over six years ago!

Here's how the story goes:
The Limp Bizkit frontman was set to collaborate with the pop dutchess back in 2003 when their musical connection took a romantic turn. Fred Durst was so enamored with the fling that he even told fans of his band that Britney "happens to be a person that I [wouldn't] have thought could make me feel this way."
The affair became a classic case of he-said she-said with Spears adamantly denying their "relationship" on TRL saying that she barely knew Durst, while Fred called Spears out on her bullshiz to Howard Stern, claiming it was "unbelievable about this crap she's saying."
Maybe Grandpa Durst was upset that Brit Brit didn't call him back the next day???
"It just became a fiasco of madness," Fred explained in an interview earlier this week. "[But] I always stay true to my heart and true to everything I did and my intentions, and I am in no way a liar."
His explanation for Brit Brit's denial of the alleged affair? "I just guess at the time it was taboo for a guy like me to be associated with a gal like her."
Looking back on the situation, Durst thinks their hookup might have been the beginnings of Spears' downward spiral!
"I look back on it as very interesting [in terms of] how things have been sort of unraveling for her since… [But] it is what it is. I can sleep at night knowing I made decisions that I wanted to make. [Still], I'm a supporter. I was then, I guess I am now," Fred mused over the sordid love affair.
Fred Durst does bear a bit of a resemblance to K-Fed, wouldn't you say??
