Roseanne Wants To Return To TV

Washed-up comedian Roseanne is angling to head back to television!

Ro has teamed up with former Roseanne producer Caryn Mandabach in the hopes of starring in a new show.

The idea? The outspoken Roseanne would be part of a family comedy where she'd play the leading role.

How original!

The projected has already been pitched to Fox. Jim Vallely from Arrested Development wrote the pilot.

Somehow we just can't picture Roseanne on television anymore. It's not like she has any real acting skills!?

Would U watch her new show?

You hate when people complain about their great celebrity life but yet you put down those that have one. You Perez can't even hold a candle 10 ft from her!

Rosanne has that middle class, simple honesty about her. I loved the roseanne show. The Hollywood image bullshit does not have her by the balls like it does with most celebs. and its refreshing. I think she could put a show together in the current primetime line-up that could work. SOmething beyond the friends copycat shows, Lost which is going to shit, and the 90120 and melrose 90's remakes, dancing with the stars and Idol are running their course. We are lacking a good middle class family comedy in the line up.

I would most certainly watch anything new that Roseanne brings to the boob tube, she belongs on television. And not only is her current blogging voice valid, controversial, and insanely (literally) hilarious but her former talk show embodied that shit as well (before it got cancelled).

With a pilot written by some Arrested Development affiliate I'm sure the show might be a critical success but sadly i don't think long lasting viewership exists for her platform. The masses don't know what they're missing, half the time really.

    18. 118

I suspect she would be far more entertaining that any tv appearance you tried to pull off.

    19. 119

Hell yeah I would watch it! She's the coolest bitch around!

    20. 120

I would give her show a chance. She had one of the greatest TV shows of all time! She's great. I love her.

I would definitely watch her….she is one of the few personalities who admits to be certifiably crazy…bonkers..she has the papers. Unpredictable and outspoken…we need Roseanne. She will be a few steps up from Rosie and her hatred.

Re: detox – If she censored it down it could show on mainstream, but if she stuck with her platform she could go HBO.
I would really love it if she could be truly Roseanne honest and do a
tougher and edgier true-to-life thing a la Shandling or Dennis Leary a la
Rescue Me type of show. Instead of the politically correct for the masses
sitcom like Roseanne, imagine her doing a gloves off true to life fictional
funny thing. Something tougher, edgier, funnier and uncensored, basically.
      Now, that would be something.

      Re: @v@ – A 'Roseanne' for adults.

    24. 124

I would TOTALLY watch! For some reason I still love Roseanne and I think with the economy in the crapper, it would work — I think she could be relevant again!!

    25. 125

yess!! i love her she's so funny imiss her old shows.
