George Lopez To Get His Own Talk Show

This might be a bad idea or it might be…a bad idea, but either way, George Lopez is getting his own late night talk show on TBS.
The show will feature celebrities and live music and comedy acts in "an outdoor street-party atmosphere."
Apparently some dolt over at TBS thinks that Lopez "is a special talent, with an everyman appeal that makes him uniquely positioned to be the next great late-night host."
Or shoot TBS in the foot!
We'll watch an episode or two with an open mind, though.

I'm happy to hear that he's coming back to TV but I'm not sure this is the best way to do it. I'd rather see him in a sitcom again. His last one was brilliant and it was ridiculous that it was cancelled. Whatever he does I wish him the best.

I am a Latina and years ago when Jorge came to Denver to perform his comic act, he got pissed off at the crowd (he was boo'd for name dropping Kobe Bryant right around the time of his rape case) yelled into the microphone, "I have a tv show, I don't need this!" and stormed off the stage long before his act was over! Everyone who attended that show was issued a refund, if that says anything for his guilt. So support him? NAH! How's about Jorge supporting those who spent $$ on a show that he abandoned!!!! I'm not the biggest Georgle Lopez fan but what is so very obvious here is the jealousy coming from Perez. It would not matter who it was getting a talk show (unless it was Angelina) he would have something hateful and negative to say. Honestly, not to be mean but Perez has the most annoying personality I have ever seen/heard. He seems so desperate to be liked. You can tell he was not the most popular or well liked guy growing up. As if he could do a good job or anyone would want to see him with a talk show.

I love George Lopez! He is hilarious. I watch the show every night and love it… no matter how many times I have seen the rerun. And he is not racist!
Why do we have to support him ? When I have heard him twice saying that everyone has to get their own support. Two years ago he didn't support a Latino film he had a part when the producers asked him for just one support -attending the premiere…He said "NO". I know him and won't never support him, and yes, I am Latino…but that doesn't mean I have to support the Latino shit.
Oh by the way, ABC wanted to cancel his show after the second season -for looooow ratings- but George Lopez did threat them with his producer Sandra Bullock offering to start a campaign that ABC was ready to cut him out for racist issues,
