      I'm sorry to say, but this needed to happen big time. CBC has WAY WAY WAY too many people employed for the lackluster network that exists. Their funding needs to get cut in half too, until they can figure out how to produce some worthwhile programming (aside from Little Mosque on the Prairie" which isn't even good!). Good riddance, CBC..

      The Harper government is always surpassing itself in the level of douchbaggery it displays. Long live the CBC!!!! The CBC will live on, it's not going to buy expensive American television programming (which is soooo fine by me) it will preserve the regional stations, and be basically making less people do all the work. Until the next government comes in and decides to return funding to the CBC. In any case, even with these job cuts there STILL will be NO ADVERTISING on the CBC. And that is a beautiful thing.

      Seriously, what is with carolineyy's negativity towards Canada?
      And since when did any "state" start subsidizing Canada?? RE: "especially with their state subsidized channel". Perhaps carolineyy should go back to grade school and learn that Canada isn't a state but a country. Nor are there any states within Canada.
      I'd also be interested in hearing what the other "giant FAILS" are in her opinion….
