Beyonce is a Diva Warrior!
Beyonce is getting ready to embark on a world tour and she's whipping out some Tina Turner in Mad Max costumes for this outing!
The outfits were designed by Thierry Mugler and he describes the aesthetics for all the looks as, “The duality between being a woman and a warrior.”
The tour kicks off today in Edmonton, Canada.
“Sasha Fierce is another aspect of Beyoncé’s personality,” Mugler says. “She is Fierce on stage and Beyoncé in real life. I tried to understand these two sides with my own perception of both aspects.”
Mugler promises that, “There will be a lot of dramatization and metamorphosis on stage."
In other words, expect lots of costume changes!
As the tour’s creative adviser, Mugler has worked on all of the show’s visual aspects — lights, sets, costumes — while “working hard to achieve her dreams." He describes the costumes as “very elaborate,” and rooted in the songs’ meanings. “Feminine. Free. Warrior. Fierce. As a creative adviser for this tour, it is my responsibility to make her vision come true."
Beyowulf has yet to announce her U.S. tour dates! But we totes wanna go see that diva shiz!
