Rihanna's Gun Tattoo Artist Speaks!

You fly your favorite tattoo artist out to tat up your friend, and then you get some dumb tattoos of your own!
According to Life & Style, Rihanna flew artist BangBang out from New York last week.
A "big advocate of guns" (in case the name didn't give it away), BangBang tells the mag he suggested a tattoo of a firearm after RiRi rejected several other sketches.
They toyed with the idea of placing the tattoo on her shoulders but eventually decided against it considering RiRi's Cover Girl status.
So the violent image ended up under her ribs.
BangBang supposed that, considering RiRi's current situation, she selected the gun because "she kicks ass and everybody supports her! She can do whatever she wants. She’s one of the nicest and sweetest people I know. She has a lot of really good friends supporting her. We didn't talk about why she specifically got it. She’s a rock. She's just thinking about having a great time now."
Maybe it's for self defense?

i like it, it has a nice edge to it. and it'll be hidden from the eye if she wants it to be, it's not that hard. there's probably tons of celebs with tattoos you don't even know about. she's young and having fun.

It's not about tattoos per se; it's the message sent, stupid! Given the rampant gun violence in the Black community —four cops murdered in Oakland this week and Black men dying daily from drug and gang violence—I'd say she's either cluelessly dumb or is promoting the instrument of destruction destroying Black men and neighborhoods. Someone should get a tattoo of a *book* to show her who's really down with the 'community'.
