Zacquisha Gets A New Job!
Zac Efron recently dropped out of the upcoming Footloose remake. Apparently, he's tired of the whole musical scene and wants to do some serious acting.
Well it seems like he's decided on his next project!
According to Variety, Zacquisha might be teaming up again with Burr Steers, who directed his latest flick, 17 Again.
The idea is for Efron to star in an adaptation of the book The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud.
The novel was written by Ben Sherwood, a former Good Morning America exec producer, and centers around "a caretaker at a cemetery who manages to have weekly meetings with a younger brother whose accidental death he feels was his fault."
Interesting.
The deal is still said to be in negotiations, but considering it's not a musical, Zac might be willing to take it on.
Let's hope he picks the right movie to further along his career.

Um, your not even going to MENTION the fact that his hair look HORRENDOUS in this picture. He looks like a bald man doing the comb=over? Why? He's not bald and certainly can have decent hair. But I agree if Jaffacake, this guy is a CREEP!

i think he should have done footloose too. I can't imagine anyone out there right now that could do it. I guess they will find someone else if they want to still make the movie though. oh and I am not an Enfron fan.

It's a good career move. It'll go a long way to proving he's not just a teen hunk. He has me feeling bad for his no talent girlfriend now that he seems to be on a tour to publicly humiliate her across the globe. So while this role may help his career, he's still a creepy cheating douchebag.

Jealousy is a bad thing, yeah he is not the greatest looking guy but he is ok, a lot of women like him they can't all be wrong, I personally have not an opinion as I don't know the person, he is a little over groomed but that is how younger guys behave make-up and stuff like that. This book is a manipulative tear-jerker that may sell lots of copies to fat trailer-park shut-ins and other mental midgets, but will be rejected with anyone with a working brain. The sure sign of the book's poor quality is that it was published five years ago, and no one has purchased the rights.

This is pedestrian Movie-of-the-Week material, and if Efron thinks that this kind of syrupy sludge is the path to an adult acting career in movies, then I want some of what he is smoking
I'm glad he decided to take on a different type of project. I mean how many different dance moves can Kenny Ortega come up with anyway? Now if he would just change his arm accessory, he'd be looking pretty good!

I went to the London Premiere last night.

God, I hope he doesn't star in that movie. I read that book because it sounded interesting… SO NOT INTERESTING! it's was boring as shit. if he does that movie his whole carrier will go down the drain. that movie is gonna be a flop no matted who does it, but I really don't want it to be him because whoever decides to do this movie will die of social suicide.
To show his range, I think he needs to do a dramatic role.
